Amidst mass indignation and disgust expressed on the Maybank controversy , it is obvious that all the talk and condemnation will count for nothing, unless and until such breaches are recognized as criminal in nature.
Flagrant abuse by arrogant bureaucrats in power will continue if Parliament does not acknowledge this scourge by passing laws against such behaviour.
Until then, all efforts to encourage racial integration will be seen as merely insincere show-acting.
The question that remains in our present borderless world, can Malaysia still afford the price of inaction?
