Reading about the latest political mess in Ijok, the local news in Malaysia and lots of other reports of some other messes, all bring forward this question to my mind, 'What the hell is going on?' I'm not going to waste time reciting each and every one of the incidents that has been happening. I am just going to go straight to the point.
Politics in Malaysia is immature. Politicians in Malaysia are immature. Nearly everybody trying to front the scene is immature. Even students at the university these days are immature with the mentality of inky-fingered first formers, which is a disgrace to us and to our country, both locally and abroad.
Something is seriously wrong here so why won't anyone just step in front and admit it? I am fed up. Do you hear me? FED UP! I'm young and I'm already fed up. All I can say is that instead of wasting money building the next biggest shopping mall or some other mega-project or sending some random guy to the moon to study the physics of wayang kulit, can we please spend the money on improving our mentality, education and get everybody to grow up once and for all?
Honestly. Thank God I am outside Malaysia right now. The last thing I need right now is having my IQ zipping down to zero by the bleating of the 'know not' sheep squad. Oh yeah, for your information, due to all these restrictions on our varsity students from engaging themselves in a healthy political debate or productive activity, the youth are either a) oblivious to everything and decide not to care at all or b) completely misinformed and misguided or c) using their misinterpreted religious zeal to make a point.
Come to think of it, it's not as though we are given a lot of options on how we want to get involved for our country. Ergo, we will continue producing useless and myopic future leaders whose knowledge and opinions are bordered only by their KBKK textbooks. Memorised through rote-learning, naturally.
Let's not also forget the tried-and-true practice of backstabbing and badmouthing to get to the top. Aren't we a proud nation? Malaysia Boleh!
