I refer to the malaysiakini report Memo to Najib: Sack sexist duo .

It looks like some of our recalcitrant MPs are at it again and this time it was a sexist remark directed at the poor MP for Batu Gajah. What started off as a normal debate on the leaks that had sprung from the roof of a newly-renovated Parliament triggered an unwarranted comment on a woman's menstrual cycle by none other than the member from Kinabatangan and supported by the infamous 'close-one-eye' MP from Jasin.

I am no fan of the MP from Sabah as he had clearly shown he's tactless and insensitive and does not know when to keep his mouth shut. No wonder he has been aptly called a wild animal. Isn't he the same person who told Karpal Singh, the MP for Bukit Gelugor, not too long ago in Parliament, that he (Karpal) was lucky not to have died in the accident which resulted in Karpal being confined to a wheelchair now.

Such insensitive statements made by a serving MP from the ruling coalition really puts the government in bad light in the eyes of many Malaysians. This clearly shows the 'quality' of some of the MPs.

Our MPs need to grow up and behave accordingly in the country's highest lawmaking chamber.

Despite efforts by the MP for Batu Gajah to refer the culprits to the Parliamentary Rights and Privileges Committee, she faced an unsympathetic Speaker and neither did she receive support from the BN women MPs to support her motion. So much for women's 'brotherhood'!

With the general elections looming, I call upon my fellow Malaysians to exercise their vote carefully. Don't be swayed by all the sweet talk and give your vote blindly to those who are known to be incompetent and have a record of uttering nonsense in Parliament.

We already have some silver- haired or balding MPs who behaves like juveniles or imbeciles sitting in the present Parliament and I would be very disappointed should they be re-nominated and re-elected again.
