I refer to the malaysiakini report Memo to Najib: Sack sexist duo .

The sexist remarks made by the so-called great debaters of Parliament (which the BN is very proud of) ie, the member from Kinabatangan and the member from Jasin, just goes to show how ineffective the BN women parliamentarians are in the Dewan Rakyat. The moment statements of this sort are uttered, the women MPs in the ruling coalition or the backbenchers should teach their fellow male MPs some manners by demanding a retraction of the said statements.

But sadly our BN women learn their politics from the BN men so they will be no different when it comes to blind 'ampuism' that flows in their veins.

Instead of making a point that BN men should never utter unparliamentary words like this, we have the veterans who insist that it 'can be sorted' out in the 'great spirit' of BN. It is a pity that the women in the constituencies of these barbarians keep voting them in without fail every time they seek re-election. Behaviour like this can only be stopped by women but as long as the BN women feel that it is okay for the women in the opposition to be called unparliamentary words with a sexist meaning attached, this will continue.

As the general elections near, it is hoped that thinking Malaysians who proudly call themselves educated, will begin to vote with a conscience and with some thought as to whom that precious vote is going for and what abilities they have to be our voices in Parliament.

Again kudos goes to Bar Council president for being bold enough to call a spade a spade in her comment about this incident. On one hand, we have ministers calling Indian Malaysians 'high class' and 'low class' when they are supposed to be good examples when they visit foreign lands and on the other, we have barbarians as 'Yang Berhormats' who continue abuse women verbally in the august house of representatives of the electorate. So much for gender sensitivity in Malaysia.
