I refer to the Malaysiakini report Raja Petra out, explains U-turn on bail.

Recently, the government shook the media when they prosecuted Raja Petra, the owner of the ‘Malaysia Today’ blog and now he has agreed to post bail. With all confidence, I could comfortably say that this prosecution is to the loathing, repulsion and disgust of the general public. It is an act of inciting terror by the use of suppressive techniques. You know all the stories; I am not here to preach you the same story again but to share an insight.

I have noticed that upon the charging of RPK, there are less entries at ‘Malaysia Today’. My question is - where are all the bloggers? Where is all the barrage of criticisms in articles we find comfort and warmth in reading? Where are the people who unrelentingly and generously share their qualms and dissatisfaction?

All I am reading is just news updates on him and even then the number of entries is only a fraction of the regular. Or the more difficult question is - did the government succeed in inciting fear in our online community of bloggers? My conclusion to that question is certainly a tough and bitter pill to swallo -: from my observation, the government DID succeed in inciting fear in us.

I was deprived of my staple diet of criticisms, insinuations and condemnation of the federal government for a few days. The weakness in my flesh from this thirst and starvation is bearrable - it is my human vulnerability. But what ignited my heart and soul again and revived my spirits is the very inkling that the government succeeded in inciting fear in us bloggers. The very thought that we are losing our ground, that our ranks are nullified or that the enemy is gaining the upper hand on us is intolerable.

Lets fight fire with cold water! The best way I know how to fight fear is to brace ourselves, stare fear in the eye and charge forward with the blare of war horns and the beat of drums in our hearts and spirits. A war is not won with10,000 strong but with 10,000 hearts and spirits. It is the morale of the people that counts. Do not let these bullies dampen our resolve with fear. We cannot even allow ourselves to slow down and do not even doubt or think twice about your steps - in contrast we should charge forward harder! Let's overwhelm the opponents.

Continue on with all the letters, articles and penmanship - type away and fire up hearts and march forth with the revolution once more! There are hungry readers and Malaysians out there who are deprived of their staple diet and waiting to be fed. Malaysia is in dire need of a revolution and our march forth began after the 12th GE. We propagated our message throughout the entire nation and we are progressing strongly. Hence, we cannot let this living and breathing machine of change be halted by one threat of prosecution by those who represent the federal government.

Yes, they got their point through to us and we cower in its wake. ‘Do not challenge our might. So shut up or we will charge you’ they say. Threats like those are only instrumental for the lion to control a herd of buffaloes with fear. Nature engineered buffaloes to be lower in the food chain than lions are and maybe that is the reason why we forget that wild buffaloes out-muscle and out- weigh a lion any day. Before we let them gain any more momentum, I think it is high time that we turn the tide on them. I think we have run far enough with the tails between our legs - it is time for us to sharpen our horns and charge forward!

The end of corruption, persecution, suppression, terror and misappropriation by the federal government is nigh. BN and Umno will eat their own medicine but our job is to force it down their throats. If I have to, I will roll my sleeve up, clench the medicine in a fist and force it down their throats - heck, I think, before I know it I will be an arms length deep inside their guts with their medicine at the end. I will give a piece of my mind when it is due or where there is a dire need for it.

Let this seed nurture and grow in that rebellious punk in all of us. More and more of articles people, and make them more and more rebelious, critical and insinuating. Fear naught! We were not engineered to have horns to weigh our head down when we run and cower - that is not what it is for. So let's use it for what it is rightfully engineered for and sink those horns where they belong (and I think you all know where!)
