The PM and his home minister are among the prominent people in this country who have been quoted widely as saying that Anwar should give his ‘DNA sample’ if he has nothing to hide.
In addition, the PM was also quoted as saying that Anwar’s DNA sample taken 10 years ago can no longer be used. As if Anwar's gene has mutated in the last 10 years. I just wonder if they are thinking that Anwar has now grown horns to justify the changes in his DNA.
Their comments on the necessity for a ‘fresh sample’ can only mean the following.
a. An admission that they had taken only tissue samples 10 years ago most probably through illegal means but could not or did not proceed to have them tested for the DNA profile.
b. The test report files have all been misplaced or lost.
Their comments also prove beyond reasonable doubt to me as an educated man-in-the-street that there is certainly a conspiracy from those in authority.
Whatever the true story maybe, one thing is certain. The present leadership has brought great shame to this country by their remarks which show they have very little understanding of basic science. I wonder what they learnt during their schooling days especially the so-called Oxford and Cambridge graduates.
It is no wonder then that with the kind of qualifications from our leaders, this country is really going down the gutter.
We the people should now demand that they all resign and allow other more qualified people to take over, otherwise all of us are going to suffer more and more each day if the present leaders continue to rule with unfettered powers.
