"Don't abuse Semenanjung problems to poison the Sarawakians," he said in a daily press conference this morning.

"Please lift religion out of the politics. It is very dangerous, it can cause people to kill each other," he added.

He claimed they were registered under the Sibu parliamentary

constituency, some as recently as in 2008, but now find their names

have been removed.

"We are collecting the data now. We suspect this could be a systematic shifting of voters, the playing around of the rolls by certain people, maybe the EC," Chong said.

2pm Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president James Jemut Masing visits Bukit Tanggi, Batu 2.

3.45pm A PKR Youth leader, Fariz Musa, claimed that leaflets with racist undertones are being distributed in the Malay-majority area of Nangka, one of the three state seats under Sibu.

NONE One of leaflets was entitled 'Wajah Sebenar DAP: Benci pada Bumiputera & Islam' while another with the BN logo was entitled 'DAP racists'.

Fariz also lodged a police report at Sibu district police headquarters over the issue.

"Three more days and it will be May 13. BN will try to play up racial sentiments," he said at a press conference in Sibu.

Meanwhile, DAP's Chong Chieng Jen said the Election Commission has ordered them to cover the symbols of other Pakatan Rakyat parties on their billboards.

PAS member of Parliament Siti Mariah Mahmud claimed she had discovered the names of already-dead voters whose names still appeared on the electoral roll.

There were also some voters, if alive, would be over 100 years of age, she added.

"You want to be together with Najib? Or Nik Aziz?" he asked rhetorically.

9.06pm: DAP's Ngeh Kor Ham said Sarawakians should be the catalyst for religious freedom in Malaysia.

Speaking to over 200 people gathered at Paramount Hotel in Sibu, he said: "This issue is greater than using the word ‘Allah’. When Sarawak joined Malaysia in 1963, the Kitab Suci was considered a sacred book.

"We must make our stand now and we in Semenanjung (Malaysia) are looking to you in Sarawak to lead the change because you have the numbers," he said.
