Ibrahim Ali - Malaysia's Pauline Hanson

vox populi small thumbnail 'Nothing else matters to Ibrahim Ali, including the decency to respect a 'si mata sepet' colleague and a fellow human being.'

Ibrahim Ali accused of disrespect for late Chong

David Yee: What a primitive person we have voted into Parliament. Mutated beyond any human values. He looks human until we hear him spew racial slurs. A dog has more respect and love for its human master than what he has for his fellow Malaysians.

Artchan: What kind of animal behaves the way he does? At least I am glad many of his Malay brethren has come out and condemn his offensive, rude and disrespectful behaviour.

Dr Hatta Ramli said it well: "We want to distance ourselves from his behaviour, which clearly does not reflect the values and mannerisms of Malay culture... we do not want to be related in any way to the culture brought about by Ibrahim Ali and Perkasa."

Anonymous: This Perkasa moron has no respect for anyone, especially if they are non-Muslim and non-Malay. He is the Pauline Hanson of Malaysia, which all right-minded Malaysia should condemn.

Vgood: Malaysiakini , Ibrahim Ali's face left a deep imprint on our mind that, every time we think about the Malays, his face turns up. The Malay friends I have known in my childhood years even now are not like that. Yet many of us are growing angry by the day just listening to his rhetoric and watching the actions of his cohorts.

How can you as a responsible news portal help in nation building when you continue to give space to people who have nothing more to do other than to drive spikes into those who expect our leaders to be constructive and mild manner in fostering good ‘muhibbah' spirit?

If really he wants his voice heard, he will have no problem with the likes of Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian to do his bidding. Please spare us the agony.

Gordon Gecko: Ibrahim Ali is the wira (hero) and defender of Malay rights, and therefore he considers himself the ‘special one'. He feels superior to others including the Parliament House. Nothing else matters to Ibrahim Ali, including the decency to respect a ‘si mata sepet' colleague and a fellow human being.

No judge: This man is the most uncivilised and rude person to ever walk the world. He's not only disrespectful to all living things that walked under the sun but to himself also. Let us all not judge him, but let him be judged by the power above.

Hisham denies cops failed to probe Banting lawyers

Chipmunk: Hishammuddin Hussein is always fast in defending the police force and he is never realistic about the facts. In any other country, the minister would have resigned to show that he is remorseful and regrets the poor performance of his ministry.

But not in Malaysia. As long as the minister gets his monthly income (and maybe his side income as well), he has nothing to worry. His kids never studied in any national schools while he was the then education minister.

The police did not take any action on all the missing persons reported in Banting as they could have been on the take. Only after the Sosilawati Lawiya murder did they realise that they can no longer keep it under wraps. The minister is in a state of self-denial.

Ric: Since investigations on those cases have been wrapped up, what were the findings? Was there any prosecution? Reports were lodged from 2005 to 2010. It's been five years since the first report and still no action by the police?

Mind you, fraud is also a form of criminal activity. Typical of BN, they never admit their mistakes.

Disgraced: Stupid answers coming from an incompetent home minister. Compared to his much-respected father, he is really no where near what his father was.

He is proud that 60 percent of the police cases were solved. In the private sector, you would probably lose your job for meeting just 60 percent of your goals or rated as a non-performing employee.

Gibran: The statistics given by the home minister cannot be correct. None of us are in a position to verify them. The executive answers questions in Parliament based on their own crude statistics. We all know the crime rate in this country is very high and so is the list of missing persons. Our police force has become very dysfunctional and corrupt.

The two lawyer brothers operated with such arrogance and confidence because they understood our police department well and exploited its weakness. Even today, the police are not able to charge them. That's their level of incompetency.

PKR No 2: Zaid unlikely to step aside for Khalid

Mike: Zaid Ibrahim has a big ego. It looks like he has dug his own hole and now has to find a good reason to stay. But if Khalid Ibrahim, Azmin Ali and Zaid Ibrahim make it a three-way fight, it will be a good one.

Ronin: A lawyer will find reasons to stay on, I bet he'll go for the president's post and continue to destabilise PKR.
