MCA, the Fallen may not rise again

your say 'You look more like Sentinel Prime. You know, the one who betrayed the Autobots, even though he was their leader.'

'MCA Youth must persevere like Autobots'

Changeagent: Youth chief Wee Ka Siong, despite the almost obliteration of MCA in the last general elections, it seems that your party still hasn't learned why you have lost the support of the Chinese community.

We want good governance, accountability, transparency, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and most of all, the right to be treated as equal citizens under the law.

Please do not give us any Transformers, Autobots, Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck. You are not only insulting our intelligence.

You are also insulting what little remnant that is left of your party's own reputation and credibility.

Freemsia: Dr Wee said MCA Youth should try to be like Autobots. For starters, Optimus Prime in Transformers said this: "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings".

Being part of Umno-led BN, the rakyat do not have that. The rakyat want freedom from racism and racial politics, freedom from oppression, freedom from being subservient and freedom from corruption.

If that is not what MCA can deliver, then MCA is not truly Autobots. They are more of like Megatron's henchmen, the Decepticons.

And PM Najib Razak a true performer? The NEM (New Economic Model) was supposed to have liberalise the economy, but with Perkasa barking from the sidelines, he decided to give in and maintain the bumiputera quotas.

The NEM ended up being watered down and is no different than the NEP (New Economic Policy).

And when Perkasa starts hurling seditious remarks at the minority groups, Najib decides to keep quiet because this right-wing organisation is supported by top members of his Umno party.

When his ‘1Malay' DPM decides to pour cold water on his 1Malaysia concept by declaring he is Malay first and Malaysian second, he just keeps quiet. Then when he said the Malays need to have self-pride and discard their crutches, within days he claimed he was misquoted.

Wee, is this a true performer you are refering to?

Faz: WKS (Wee Ka Siong), I did not see anything in your speech to accord you a standing ovation for originality and departing from the norms in Umno-BN politics.

‘Flip-flop' Najib couldn't be your good example for a leader. As you were praising him for innovation and transformation, he was busily denying most of those pronouncements.

If the present state of MCA is maintained, you might as well close shop because you and your colleagues are still dreaming of the past.

Anonymous_40a7: Autobots? How right you are. But Optimus Prime and Bumblebee? You guys look more like Sentinel Prime. You know, the one who betrayed the Autobots, even though he was their leader.

And I don't need to tell you how Sentinel ended up in ‘Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon', do I?

Indon Planter: The manner in which your party, together with your master Umno, continue to deceive the people till this day, I think you are more akin to Decepticons than Autobots. The Fallen shall not rise come GE13.

Wfworker: WKS, if MCA is sincere, then don't give all kinds of threats to the community. Take a sabbatical en mass and walk the talk by repaying all Malaysians whom MCA had cheated all these years.

Undertake all the worthy causes to repay the society without complaining; maybe the community will consider voting for MCA in the 14th GE.

At the moment, all such talks will not be believed by anyone since you are stained with wholesale corrupt practices.

Being a MCA supporter for some 30 years ago, I may even gather some to support MCA, five years hence. Having seen the kind of members you have today, I don't need to change my vote for now.

Anonymous: These MCA leaders are still in the throes of political delirium. We have given them 54 long years to get it right, but they have failed us miserably.

As of today, they are still so hollow and pathetic to the extent that the PM has taken upon himself the task to win back the Chinese votes. I am sick of MCA's very lowly status in the government. They are completely bereft of quality leaders.

Jeremy Ng: I thought BN component parties may have future hope via its Youth wings. But judging by the recent statements from MCA and Gerakan Youth chiefs, all are lost.

As a Chinese (but a non-MCA supporter), I am shocked and ashamed by Dr Wee's speech in asking members to be like Transformers. As a Chinese party, there are numerous historical Chinese heroes you can compared and emulate.

Wee may love cartoons, but please don't assumed that Chinese Malaysians are cartoons too.

Docs: Wee seems to be a Transformers fan. Anyhow, I see MCA more like the Decepitcons, trying to deceive the Chinese. Just like the Decepitcons, they are doing a poor job at it.
