Hasan Ali - a clear and present danger

YOURSAY 'It is better he resigns from PAS and joins Umno soonest possible so that Umno can sponsor his work.'

Hasan hits the road with Himpun again

your say Ferdtan: Only 3,000 people attending the second ‘Gathering of a Million Muslims Against Apostasy' (Himpun)?

If they were to keep up with having the same number of attendees; and to achieve the million mark originally targeted - it would take more than 13 years (after deducting the first rally in Shah Alam and the assumption of having two rallies per month).

The whole sordid affair of uniting Muslims against the purported Christian organisations to spread their religion among Muslims was a dismal failure as the Muslims are not duped.

Now with PAS openly distancing itself from Hasan's personal agenda - the impact of him appearing in the Himpun gathering is neutralised.

The more he is seen with Umno or any Umno-friendly groupings like Himpun, the more his supporters in PAS would be turned off. He has become a leper in his own party.

Ksn: Selangor PAS exco Hasan Ali is slandering another religion without an iota of proof and evidence.

If he knows about people dressing up like Muslims and entering the mosques to convert them, why is he not doing anything about it such as informing the Islamic authorities, the police, etc?

Is there no law which could be used to neutralise this religious fanatic? His statements are uncalled for, and they are likely to cause friction and misunderstanding among Malaysians of different faiths and cause unrest. Is that what he wants?

Artchan: If you know the evangelists are in jubah , masquerading as Muslims, why don't you arrest them?

I think Hasan Ali is a clear and present danger to all Malaysians. I think he will be happy only if the killings start. Otherwise I don't understand what he is harping on. Somebody, please lock him up so that Malaysia can be safe.

Garrulous Gary: Where is the proof? Show us the proof. Hasan, end these vague stories to scare your fellow Muslims.

Milosevic: Sometimes I eat beef rendang instead of chicken rice. I am not saying to anyone that chicken rice is bad nor do I wish to insult chicken rice eaters or convert them to beef rendang.

In fact, I might eat chicken rice in the future. I would resent anyone telling me what to eat and what not to eat.

Similarly, I would resent anyone telling me what to believe and what not to believe, just as I have no interest in telling people what to believe.

I have great respect for the Dalai Lama, who tells people not to casually convert to Buddhism but to practice their existing religion in a deeper fashion, leading to love for others.

Does Hasan see why this man is truly respected by people of all religions while the Muslim exclusivist gets no respect?

Forcing people to follow a religion is an extraordinarily primitive and authoritarian attitude, with roots in medieval systems of control. It's tribalism not universalism.

Wfworker: If Hasan Ali is right, he should become a Muslim missionary instead of talking so much and not lifting a finger to help those poor Muslims who have gone looking for crumbs from the churches.

Surely his Umno partners have collected more cash than any church. What about the government claims that they have spent billions of ringgit to uplift the bumiputera, or had the money becomes part of the RM1 trillion in illicit outflows?

1Malay-sia-sia: A single apostate surely cannot affect all Muslims - but one sick and demented individual like Hasan Ali can definitely affect all Muslims by portraying Islam as weak and easily hijacked and that the Muslim faith is so fragile that it needs to be protected by over-zealous and self-proclaimed 'angels' like him.

Good men: Hasan said, "When someone becomes an apostate, it is as though Islam is not beautiful and not good."

But it is when he opens his mouth and talks that makes people think that Islam is not beautiful and not good.

Go4it: Hasan is a very insecure person trying to create issues and strike fear, in order to gain popularity for himself. It is better he resigns from PAS and joins Umno soonest possible so that Umno can sponsor his work.

Kgen: Hasan Ali is just like PKR turncoat Zulkifli Nordin - both are Umno moles out to destroy Pakatan Rakyat with their fake religious extremism.

Notice how quiet Zulkifli became once he was sacked from PKR. Hasan will just be the same. Mark my words.

Multi Racial : "Highly organised attempt by a Christian organisation to spread their religion among Muslims," said Hasan. This is laughable.

Hasan is not just a traitor but a lousy one. What he is doing is attempting to spread lies to his fellow Muslims with the intention of boosting his popularity, knowing he will be dropped by his own party in the next election.

It is a good thing that this has come out early. Surely he can come up with better lies.

I hope the majority of the Muslims will make their last effort to get rid of such people. He is a nuisance to the society and he is a nuisance to peace.

Dood: It makes one wonder if Hasan Ali is deliberately asking to be kicked out of his party so that he can join Umno-BN with a ‘clear conscience'.

James1067: Desperate people do desperate things. The noose is already tightening around the neck.

Hasan, you have failed miserably if there are poor Muslims who have to find other sources for help. As an exco, you should do your part in extending your hand to help the needy.

Now you find some new excuses and people to blame for your failures.

Carboncopy: There are many weaknesses in the Selangor Pakatan government. But all of it combined could not trump Hasan Ali being its exco.
