So Penang CM is to be blamed too?

YOURSAY ‘I agree it takes two hands to clap... but how can a hand clap when it's a clenched fist?'

BN Youth involved in Penang violence face the boot

your say Boiling Mud: Since the anti-Lynas rally in Penang, there have been several veiled attempts to lay the blame on the chief minister.

We think the chief minister certainly knows better not to lower his dignity as the head of the state government to the level of those hooligans.

Hello: MCA, Gerakan, and Parti Cinta Malaysia are now nothing but mosquito parties propping up the BN as multiracial in name only.

Asking Umno to sack their youths? You have better chances asking the cow to jump over the moon.

James Dean: I agree it takes two hands to clap... but how can a hand clap when it's a clenched fist?

Lucia: Penang MCA Youth chief Tan Hing Teik, one hand will not clap indeed. Again, he is like his Umno counterpart trying to blame the chief minister. It was the many hands of those Umno/Perkasa ‘samseng' (gangsters) that started it all.

When Umno/Perkasa provoke the crowd, it's okay. But when Umno/Perkasa 'fight back', they quickly say the CM or the anti-Lynas protesters provoked them. Double standards indeed.

Swkdayaks: The gathering was organised for anti-Lynas members and supporters, not for Umno. So why should Umno go there, worse still, create provocation and harassment.

How would you - MCA, Gerakan and Parti Cinta Malaysia - feel if outsiders come uninvited to your gathering and commit some unruly acts to provoke you and your members at your gathering. Surely you have the right to tell them to leave, and even chase them out.

If they retaliate then definitely they are in the wrong because they came to disturb your function or gathering which is not meant for them.

If MCA, Gerakan and Parti Cinta can't even understand this simple logic, then you are unfit to be the leaders of this nation.

Onyourtoes: Look, BN Youth or whatever, don't be smug, and don't try to play neutral when every inch of you is full of depravity.

We are not that dumb to buy your seemingly neutral stance when all you were trying to do is to insinuate and pass innuendoes on Lim Guan Eng.

Tell you what, save your time and effort, try to go find a proper job. The attraction of even the crumbs of power is not within your reach.

BTN: There you go again. Umno and its gangs can act and behave in uncivilised manner but others cannot crticise them.

If they are criticised, then it's considered provocation and they have the right to bash anyone up.

Anti-Lynas fracas: Cops release pix of 29 witnesses

Anonymous: Dear Northeast police chief Gan Kong Meng, be fair when doing investigation. You know where they live, eat and sleep.

Violent people must be charged. If you allow this thing to happen, they will become bold and there will not be any more public safety. This group of thugs has purposely created racial tension.

Sarajun Hoda: I hope Gan will not swallow his words. But then, the attorney-general (AG) is another big hurdle.

But being a case involving journalists, if the AG does not charge the culprits, the BN information and propaganda machinery might have to pay a very heavy price.

Gary Nair: OCPD Gan, I am sure you know who are the culprits. This is not the first time.

You may claim that you will take all kinds of action. But eventually, someone will tell you to close the file. I know you are a very frustrated officer, but do keep trying.

20121221Disaster: When the gathering is pro-opposition, police officers will make their own police reports and start harassing the organisers concerned.

When it is pro-Umno, numerous police reports are made by the public but no action is taken. It is high time to change the government.

Onyourtoes: Now there are so many photographs of witnesses to look into, we are confused. Now we are waiting for each of them to come forward; we don't seem to know how to arrest them.

Now we are investigating the illegal assembly, forget those who were there to cause the ruckus. Now we are investigating how those who were injured or intimidated could have caused provocation to the thugs.

Welcome to the land of nincompoops.
