EC behaving like an Umno branch

VOXPOP 'These accusations have gone on far too long and the Election Commission has to prove that no fraud is taking place.'

Thousands 'converted' into postal voters

vox populi small thumbnail Kgen: More shenanigans by the Election Commission (EC). When will this corrupt EC do its job properly as an independent body instead of behaving like a branch of Umno?

It is not in their job description to help BN win the election. Do they want their children and grandchildren to suffer under a corrupt dictatorship where the people have no choice but tolerate BN for the next 50 years?

James1067: If this is proven true then we have to clean up the whole electoral roll. We have to make sure that the elections are transparent and fair.

These accusations have gone on far too long and it's the duty of the EC to prove that no fraud is taking place.

They can later sue every party who accuses them of fraud. If nothing is done by the EC, then the allegations will be taken as truth.

Anonymous: Our demand should be no election until everything is crystal clear or else proceed with Bersih 3.0.

Ferdtan: The recalcitrant EC is still at it - still continuing with the tampering with electoral rolls. Bersih 2.0 has not deterred them from their deceptive ways of cheating the public to keep the incumbent in power.

After seeing the video from Malaysiakini, we are so disgusted with such traitorous acts that they can only happen with the connivance of EC.

It is not a mistake of data entering - we dare say, it is an organised fraud by someone high up in EC and as well as Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (National Registration Department).

There are checks to prevent dubious names to be in the rolls, both manually and electronically, but they managed to pass through and made easy when you have crooks in the house.

Let us warn these people, you are traitors to the country. We believe the only way now is to call for Bersih 3.0 as they don't seem to learn.

A Selangor Voter: Let us have Bersih 3.0. The country needs it. The Election Commission needs to be checked.

They are cheating and do not seem to be bothered even if we catch them red-handed. Election Commission malu (shame). You support Umno, the rakyat support ABU (Anything But Umno).

Disgusted: For God's sake, bring on Bersih 3.0. The BN/EC does not intend to conduct free and fair elections. They intend to cheat wholesale.

Over to you, Bersih co-chairpersons S Ambiga and Pak Samad Said. We are 100 percent behind you, not only in words but in action too.

Versey: It looks like they just want to win the next GE by hook or by crook so that they can push ahead their agenda - Lynas, GST (Goods and Services Tax) and hikes in petrol and electricity tariffs.

One thing that puzzles me is why PKR only checks the electoral rolls and not the electoral system?

Those in Bersih and PKR should focus on the root cause (the electoral system) rather than keep picking up the never-ending falling leaves (the electoral list).

Can't they push for a public audit of the entire electoral system?

Pahang MB to sue daily for refusing to apologise

Lim Chong Leong: It is time journalists stand up against the oppression of Umno-BN. They may own the printing machines but they do not own your souls.

Of course, there are those who have sold their souls to the devil but I think they are in the minority.

Stand up and do not let them call you stupid. Stand up and do not let them say you misquoted them.

Jeremy Ng: It appeared our Umno-led government is not only corrupt but arrogant as well. In ‘1Malaysia' democracy, our elected representatives are bosses and the rakyat are their employees.

I bet this legal suit will not proceed as our 'tamed' mainstream media will negotiate for a compromise.

Okeylah: It looks like Malaysian politicians just love to sue, but hate to serve.

Joker: The National Union of Journalists (NUJ), have you made your complaints to the PM?

It is way past the 24-hour deadline you gave to Pahang MB Adnan Yaakob and not only has he not apologised, he has threatened to sue NUJ as well.

Is the NUJ powerless to protect its journalists from bullies, just as the police are powerless to protect their informers from Johor kingpin Tengku Goh?

Onyourtoes: Okay, Adnan, assuming you did not suggest the waste be dumped in Sungai Lembing and it was the director-general of AELB (Atomic Energy Licensing Board) who had suggested that, but why then you didn't label him stupid?

Even for a non-technical person, it was a stupid idea to dump waste at Sungai Lembing. Why didn't you asked the newspaper to clarify the report and to apologise, saying it was the director-general's idea? Instead why did you keep labeling the reporters stupid?

Disbeliever: Adnan is obviously not fit to be a leader and the menteri besar of Pahang. He has been caught on video gesturing a dirty sign and now calling journalists 'stupid'.

Perhaps he thinks that he is untouchable since he is the MB of Pahang and is in the state where the prime minister comes from.

Perhaps the NUJ should boycott every single function this arrogant MB attends.
