YOURSAY 'Rais, Umno should take a lesson or two from Bersih on how to get all the races and religions together to fight for a common cause.'
Rais tells Bersih to take leaf from 1M'sia moral guide
Pemerhati:
What a joke! The world's biggest thieves and crooks have now started giving advice on good moral behaviour.
These people have remained in power by massive fraud at the polls. They are terrified of Bersih because it wants to prevent them from cheating.
The Umno crooks and their cronies are currently stealing about RM60 billion per year which amounts to about a third of the country's revenue.
Most of them steal the people's money by the millions and some of them are strongly suspected to have committed heinous crimes such as the alleged rape of an underaged girl in Malacca, the alleged rape of an Indonesian maid and the murder of a Mongolian lady.
They have not been brought to justice because they control the enforcement agencies and the judiciary, and hence are able pervert the course of justice.
Some of the criminals, such as the rapists are also able to use their stolen millions to pay the witnesses and/or the victims of their crimes to change their testimonies and exonerate themselves.
Foodforthought: Information Minister Rais Yatim, by suspending PTPTN (National Education Loan Fund) loans to students wanting to study and thus depriving them of a higher education must be Umno-BN's moral high ground.
Anonymous_4056: Rais, Umno should take a lesson or two from Bersih on how to get all the races and religions together to fight for a common cause.
It was truly a beautiful sight to behold with so many races, young and old alike, coming together sharing and caring for one another. This is, and should be, our culture, not that of police brutality.
Edge of Town: Were it not for the fact that they are all illiterate morons, I would suggest that Rais distribute those booklets to his petty trader friends, his ex-army butthead buddies and the assorted gangster supporters employed by his party.
Anonymous #19098644: Rais, we totally agree that all Malaysians show restraint and demonstrate ethical values and refrain from violent behaviour.
Indeed, Umno should demonstrate leadership by example, instead of resorting to violence against innocent bystanders attending ceramah and peaceful rallies.
At the anti-Lynas rally in Penang, the PKR ceramah in Lembah Pantai and many other places, the abominable behaviour of Umno's mat rempit was on show.
The police should learn from the British police who demonstrated professionalism in handling the crowds at Queen Elizabeth's anniversary celebrations instead of going amok and assaulting innocent journalists and peaceful citizens.
So kindly stop preaching and walk the talk. All words and no deeds is like a garden full of weeds.
Vgeorgemy: Rais, why Umno is so scared of an independent investigation to determine who had rioted, been rough and violent during the Bersih sit-in protest?? This booklet is very useful for those terrorising our residential areas.
Giudice: "Follow the principle of a parliamentary democracy," said Rais. Maybe you should practice it in its true form before asking others to follow.
The current version of our electoral system includes gerrymandering , lopsided media access, biased media reports, a fear for free and fair elections, an impartial Election Commission ... and the list goes on.
Not Confused: Rais, once again you show that you are an ignoramus of the highest order. I am a foreigner and was present at the April 28 Bersih 3.0 rally and am proud of it.
The day was peaceful and entirely good natured, that is until the FRU (riot police) decided to rain tear-gas canisters and water cannon on innocent rakyat consisting of all ages from old age pensioners to small children.
It's people like you and your stupid colleagues that should read up on morals and parliamentary democracy.
Anyway, it matters little, since you will all be consigned to the back benches very soon, and I will cheer you all the way out of your offices.
Cloudnine: Rais, why are you silent on Wanita Umno chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil's cow and condo scandal, illegal write-off of Tajudin Ramli's debt to MAS (Malaysia Airlines), billions siphoned from the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal, billions sucked from purchase of helicopters, submarines, armoured vehicles, Dr Mahathir Mohamad's racial overtones, conduct of the ‘correct, correct, correct' judiciary, mindless personal spending by PM Najib Razak, Rosmah Mansor and finally, the allegation of the rape of a helpless maid?
Your own conclusion that there were only 22,000 Bersih protesters says you are not using your brain and are prepared to lie.
Vijay47: Rais, while you are at it, perhaps you can send a few thousand copies of the moral guidebook to Indonesia.
I am sure its maids will want to know a thing or two about morals and on a more practical side, how to protect themselves from rape.
