VOXPOP 'Only in Malaysia can a company that failed in all aspects become the winner in a multi-billion tender.'
Documents prove George Kent lied, says Rafizi
Anonymous #19098644: This confirms that the Finance Ministry under PM Najib Razak has breached government procurement and tender procedures. This is a corrupt act and he can be charged with abuse of power and corruption.
Secondly, it brings this country of ours into disrepute and only hastens Malaysia's downward slide on the corruption index.
Thirdly, it places the people at risk when unqualified companies are awarded projects that carry high numbers of commuters.
The shameless, corrupt BN government will only stop when it has been voted out of power in the forthcoming general election.
Fateh: A rail contract being awarded to a company which knows next to nuts about rail jobs.
Well, the Malaysian rakyat and taxpayers be better prepared to pay through their noses for someone not competent to perform the job, given that the cost will skyrocket.
Just see what happened to the low-cost carrier airport that is still under construction. God bless Malaysia.
Anonymous #62163581: How many more revelations would it take to get the people to topple corrupt politicians (and their wives/spouses)?
Our only hope is that honest and brave men like PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli will stay on course.
Moontime: Rafizi is telling the truth. George Kent lied. Only in Malaysia can a company that failed in all aspects become the winner in a multi-billion tender.
Yes, you heard me right. Multi-billion because I'm sure the costs will escalate inevitably as proven in the past when contracts were given to Umno-BN cronies. This scandal just makes us more determined to oust BN from Putrajaya.
Anonymous_3e86: BN thinks that all lies can be covered up. That was possible years back when we didn't have the Internet. That was possible when many dared not question the government.
But now, after five decades of cheating and lying, many in the government service are beginning to see how BN has cheated and deceived them.
Many are now providing information to the opposition to get rid of the disease called "corruption" which BN has been inflicted with for the past five decades.
They use the Official Secrets Act (OSA), Banking and Financial Institutions Act (Bafia), Internal Security Act (ISA), Sedition Act and other Acts to silence the whistleblowers, while the white-collar criminals (BN) siphon off massive amounts of the rakyat's money.
How will S'gor develop steep hills, asks Chua Jr
Anonymous_40ca: Like father like son - poking their heads into other people's business except their own. A Johor MP involved in Selangor state issues as if there isn't any capable opposition in the state to bring up the issue.
Whereas the Johor MP, who is also the deputy agriculture minister, couldn't even shed light on the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) that rears cows in a Bangsar ‘cowdominium'.
Vgeorgemy: All the land bank that belongs to Talam was already earmarked for development purposes by the previous BN government. Your arguments are not convincing and will not add up to RM1 billion.
As a chairperson of a young professionals association, do you have any comments on the awarding of the Ampang LRT extension contract to George Kent, which has no previous history in implementing such a huge project?
Kuasa Rakyat: Yawn, yawn ... doesn't Chua Tee Yong get it that the rakyat is totally not interested in what he is yapping about? He is another one of those "without anything between the ears" person. Sigh!
Albert Jairaj: If that's the case why is someone developing Bukit Gasing on the Kuala Lumpur side? It's a class three hill also. Answer lah, mister geotech expert.
NewMalaysia: It's clear that MCA needs more time to learn how to be a better opposition. So to all Malaysians, especially the people of Selangor, please give MCA more time as opposition come the 13th general election, preferable at the federal level as well.
News portal Merdeka Review to call it quits
Ong Guan Sin: It's a sad day for independent journalism in Malaysia, especially when the government-controlled mainstream media continues to be prostituted in the final days of its rule in Malaysia.
AnakBangsaMalaysia: This is most unfortunate. Plurality and independence of information are vital cornerstones of a mature democratic society.
The bitter irony is that it is difficult to convince people to pay for quality reporting like Merdeka Review and Malaysiakini, while these same people will not hesitate to buy and subscribe to lurid tabloids.
