YOURSAY ‘This, as well as the attacks at Pakatan ceramahs and the PKR bus, are they a foretaste of the things to come should Pakatan win GE13?'

Penang DAP HQ attacked, third time in 13 months

your sayPeter Clement Goh: Mooning the PM's portrait and stepping on it is an offence, but attacks on non-BN political parties' properties and non-BN politicians are not.

The joke about this is that the police chief has "vowed a thorough investigation into the incident." Why make a vow?

Shouldn't it be investigated anyway and the culprits caught - the way the people who stepped on and mooned the PM's portrait were?

Dood: I guess Penang DAP must be doing a great job. Some people out there are running scared and getting frustrated that they can't do anything about it other than resorting to vandalism.

KKCheong: There's no reason to do this. What's the point? The perpetrators are just making a fool of themselves.

Ben Hor: DAP and the rest of Pakatan Rakyat, I think the smart thing to do is just leave the defaced property as it is. Wear it as a badge of honour.

Remove it only when the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) finally "catch" the perpetrators.

Oh yes, we're still waiting for PM Najib Abdul Razak to say something regarding all the attacks against the opposition.

Anonymous #25595435: We suggest leaving the red paint on the roller shutters and write a message to let the whole world see what kind of gangsters we have in Umno and Perkasa.

We know for sure who is behind all these and we must boot them out in the coming GE.

We do not respect such acts, and certainly not their "leaders".

Sama Sama: It is time for all peace-loving people from both the political divide to denounce such psychopathic behaviour.

I don't believe all BN supporters out there condone such attacks.

If BN leaders are smart, which we all know that they are not, they should publicly condemn such attacks and get the PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) to make some arrests.

If they did, they will surely gain some points with the electorate.

Ooops, I shouldn't be telling them this. What a bunch of losers these BN sympathisers are - such stupid actions even before they lose GE13.

Mushiro: It is the season of elections again and this time Umno is fighting tooth and nail.

They are not used to such an environment, they are at a loss, especially when debating issues.

They are now adopting the only way they know best, which is hooliganism.

The rakyat and Pakatan will have to tolerate their tantrums and pranks as they are baiting for the opposition to make a wrong move.

The police are just waiting to pounce on Pakatan with the slightest of excuses.

A.B.U.: My office is just beside the new Penang DAP headquarters. This morning there was a crowd of onlookers. I overheard an elderly man, who used to vote BN, comment:

"This is the best thing that these pro-Umno ‘gangsters' could have done.

After 55 years, they have done nothing for us except to encourage hooliganism like this. Time to change the federal government!"

Yes, bring on the elections.

Ferdtan: The more violence targeting DAP, the more MCA and Gerakan would suffer in Penang.

The backlash in anger against them is very real, unless they come out to strongly condemn such vandalism.

Two reasons for such dastardly deeds - sowing fear and dividing the races by attacking DAP, which is perceived as being more of a Chinese party.

To read the strategy (if there is one), BN have given up hope on MCA and Gerakan in winning the next election.

They are becoming the proverbial sacrificial lamb in Umno's bid to strengthen solidarity among its supporters ahead of the crucial polls.

Maplesyrup: This, as well as the attacks at Pakatan ceramahs and the PKR bus, are they a foretaste of the things to come should Pakatan win GE13?

Even if BN is not corrupt, we have to reject their stance on 'defend Putrajaya with crushed bodies' and 'set up roadblocks' which will only lead the country into a lawless state of anarchy.

Karma: If the police cannot catch these perpetrators within a day or two, it really means that they are either useless or purposely not doing anything about it.

Our police are very experienced in tracking down terrorists. But they are slow with red paint throwers.

When it comes to picture mooners and steppers, they are simply the best, they even topped it by handcuffing a young girl.

The country is definitely spiralling into chaos and it is staring right in the face of Najib and MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek.

Bob Teoh: Najib had better stop this political violence, otherwise more teenagers may be stepping on his photos.
