Azmin: They will try to implicate Anwar in Sabah RCI
Starr: Of course, former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad will deny it but can the rakyat still believe in him? In the minds of Sabahans, he had collaborated with former Sabah chief minister Harris Salleh and has been instrumental in bringing the state to its present predicament.
Nobody should be surprised if he is playing the same 'tune' again in the peninsula now. That's why to many Sabahans, the state has been given a 'rotten deal' by the federal government.
First, it was the Petroleum Development Act, effectively nationalising the petroleum resources of the state in return for a meagre amount of ‘5 percent cash payment'. Second, it was the ceding of Labuan to federal control on a platter.
Third, the Islamisation of Sabah by systematic and massive legalisation of the illegal immigrants to alter the social and political landscape of the state and installation of a Umno-BN government.
The federal government has been able to do all the above with the collaboration of the then state leaders. The Berjaya/BN government has been rejected by real Sabahans, and not without good reason.
Malaysian First: It was a concerted effort by Mahathir and Umno-BN, with the help of the National Registration Department (NRD) and Election Commission (EC), to grab power in Sabah at the expense of the state's sovereignty.
To me, this is treason and Mahathir should account for his misdeeds, including the mismanagement of the country's resources, massive corruption and abuse of power.
And I don't have confidence that the police, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the attorney-general (AG) would do anything about the revelations.
Just look at what is happening in Sarawak with Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud blatantly enriching himself, his family members and cronies.
LittleGiant: It seems obvious that PKR deputy president Azmin Ali is making a pre-emptive move.
If Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim was involved and had knowledge in the Sabah operations "issuing IC receipts of existing voters to immigrants and issuing blue identity cards to unqualified immigrants", he should come clean and admit it.
It will be extremely difficult to believe that Anwar, as the then deputy prime minister, was totally unaware of these "special and highly covert" operations alleged to have been carried out by the Prime Minister's Department.
If Anwar is implicated in the RCI proceedings and if it is true that Anwar was involved, or at least had knowledge of "the operations", I expect him to speak the truth and expose everything and everyone who was involved in it. I will respect him for that.
Anonymous #03216792: Azmin, you are right about Mahathir being a traitor, I realised this when he once announced that Malaysia should have a population of 70 million.
Anonymous#70866269: These traitors do have a plan - spinning the truth about Project IC so that they can pin the blame on Anwar.
They had tried hard implicating Anwar on the two sodomy charges, this time it will be for Project IC. I was indeed very suspicious and puzzled that Umno would allow this royal commission of inquiry (RCI) to take place when election is just two months away.
OMG: Well, whatever Anwar's role, he had a boss. And he has more than paid the price for his role in Umno through many years of incarceration.
Ourvotesdecide: Who was the PM in charge of the Election Commission at the time when the illegal immigrants' names were put onto the electoral roll? Mahathir.
Who was the home minister in charge of the NRD that issued the ICs and citizenships to the illegal immigrants? Mahathir.
And who put Sabah leaders Maximus Ongkili and Jeffery Kitingan under the Internal Security Act (ISA)? Mahathir. It's all Mahathir.
ACR: If we hold to the hypotheses that Anwar did what he did while in Umno and has been out of that Umno filth for 15 years now, why should it affect Pakatan Rakyat or Anwar?
He was then an Umno man and all Umno people do evil things. We are all clear about that.
We will hold Anwar to account for the values he now promulgates in Pakatan and see if Pakatan lives up to the expectations of the people.
Dhammika: The RCI must also interview Mahathir for his part in this citizenship issue. He is the only person at that time - being both PM and home minister - who could approve such a diabolical plan. The RCI must complete its investigation before the GE.
Chee Hoe Siew: I think it did not only happen in the 90s, it is still happening now. BN and the EC should be arrested and charged with treason.
BujangSenang: This is treason at its highest level. Let's see what action is forthcoming. Our immediate concern is the forthcoming 13th GE. Is it going to be fair? Whoever we vote for, let's ensure it's a fair general election.
Anonymous #70885998: "When contacted for comment, EC chairperson Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof said he would seek further information from his officers on what was said at the RCI before responding to the claims."
This translates to, "I will get back to you when I find more reasons to cover up the matter."
Louis: Azmin, we cannot agree with you more. Another five more years under BN and our country might be sold off altogether.
Kgen: Do those Malay traitors who followed the devil's instruction to issue citizenships to foreigners for votes realise the harm they are doing to their own race?
These instant citizens also become instant bumiputeras and compete with native Malays for rights, handouts, permits, licences, scholarships and privileges. Their children will also be bumiputeras.
If illegal Indonesians can beat the Malays in retail, imagine what they can achieve as bumiputeras? Meanwhile, the poor stateless Chinese and Indians are denied their rightful citizenship even though they would not dilute the bumiputera privileges of the Malays.
The Real Duke: Perkasa, what are you waiting for? Go after the traitor who sold off your race and country.
Ez24get: The police pretend not to know, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) pretends not to know, the sultans pretend not to know, Perkasa, Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, all the mainstream media pretend not to know.
The rakyat also do not know. How is it that the testimonies in an RCI affecting the whole security of the nation are not important enough for action to be taken and to be mentioned in these news media?
Bersih 4.0 should be brought on now to inform the public and exert more pressure on the EC to carry out clean and fair elections.
