No faith in police probe on Dhamendran's murder

YOURSAY 'What? You mean the cops did not arrest the suspects in Dhamendran's murder and ask for a 14-day remand?'

Cops being questioned over Dhamendran's death

your say AnakPinang: The police continue to tell the same old story again hoping that Malaysians will believe it. Let's see - asthma, breathing difficulties, pre-existing conditions, water in the lungs, slipped and fell.

They fail to realise that these people whom they treat like their personal punching bags, have families.

What is the difference between criminals who assault and kill civilians and police officers who do the same? None.

Adsertor: So far, a lot of talking and no real action. The police force is an armed, uniformed group. There should be zero tolerance for the abuse of its standard operating procedures.

In any other country, the senior officers at the station would have been suspended right away for lack of control over their subordinates.

Donplaypuks: Hello IGP and the police, if you check the police station log book and files, you will be able to identify who interrogated N Dhamendran, in five minutes. So, what is this ‘ sandiwara ' (play) all about?

Pahatian: It is the final outcome that matter most. Whatever is done in between, how the investigation is carried out, how efficiently and swiftly, how many responsible were identified, is of no use if in the end the police say there is no foul play, the injuries were caused by his struggles to escape and as a result, Dhamendran died of breathing difficulties.

It will be a 'heads I win, tails you lose' situation.

Sinner: 'What? You mean the cops did not arrest the suspects in Dhamendran's murder and ask for a 14-day remand?'

Monkey Wrench: It must be a shock to the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Ku Chin Wah to have a doctor contradict him. Total gobsmacked he must be.

The police should take a statement from the CID chief and have him tell how he could have stated that Dhamendran "died as a result of breathing difficulties"?

Cmfoo: The CID chief ought to be charged with providing false information and/or lying to the public. He is in such a responsible position that he must provide accurate information and not in any way deceive the public.

Abasir: Ku Chin Wah should be tried for dereliction of duty, for lying to the public and for attempting to cover up a crime.

But we know what will happen: he and his co-conspirators will hang this on an Indian constable and thus cover up the fact that this was a racially-motivated killing by non-Indian cops.

They did this in the murder of A Kugan and they will do it again.

2 Tim 1:7: The new IGP (inspector-general of police) when he was Selangor police chief never showed any sympathy towards the families of detainees who died under suspicious circumstances while in police custody.

In fact, he availed himself of every opportunity to harass and silence them.

Bettertrustmydog: I bet there will be a cover-up. Someone will have to take the blame for it. After all, that has happened in the past, I can't trust them anymore.

Mark today as ‘Day 1'. Let's see what they mean by ‘speed'.

Reformasi101: Honestly, we Malaysians have no faith in the police. All this is just a drama. At the end of the day, a fall guy will take the rap. Heads of departments will not take responsibility for their men's behaviour and resign with dignity.

Oscar Kilo: Being in a police lock-up is more dangerous than being in a Pakatan rally.

Fighting For Justice: Watch out, another sandiwara . There will be a press report by the police chief everyday till the next body comes out of police lock-up and soon Dhamendran will be forgotten. Indeed, they are ‘serial' killers.

Fair&Just: In Bolehland, there is a peculiar syndrome where the investigating dragnet of the police only manages to net one or two ‘ikan bilis' (small fries) but the big whales manage to escape.

Anonymous_3ee4: Make sure the consultant pathologist doesn't go MIA (missing in action) or transferred to Timbuktu.

Cala: By the way, please do not repeat the past script claiming that a lone Indian police officer was responsible for causing the death of Dhamendran.

And of course, that Indian police officer would produce an alibi that he was somewhere else that morning when the incident occurred. The rakyat are tired of the same excuses.

Louis: As usual, the authorities will come out with strong words like: "Action will be taken on the culprits", "se will not leave any stone unturned", or "we will not compromise on the rights of prisoners".

But, eventually all will come to naught. I don't place much hope on all these assurances.

Malaysia54: This must be a really useless task force team. Someone should have said that the murderer is a Pakatan Rakyat supporter - by now, he would have been charged and convicted.

Vote BN Out: Cops investigating cops is just not on, and they know it, too.
