So the ex-home minister's action not treasonous?

YOURSAY 'Then-home minister Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad had committed treason when he ordered the officers not to testify before the parliamentary select committee on integrity.'

Home Ministry blocked Project IC probe, RCI hears

your say Odin: Since more than three decades ago, a concerted attempt was made by the BN to "blur Sabah cultural and tribal identities".

The quote is taken from a book on religious liberty in Malaysia published by the Religious Liberty Commission of the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF) Malaysia.

In plain speak, this means to obliterate the identities of the natives and their religion, Christianity.

This was already well-known as far back as the late 1970s. The most pertinent question to ask is: Why did the natives like Joseph Pairin Kitingan and Bernard Dompok choose to stay in the BN and be party to the gross transgression against their own people?

Anonymous_3e79: Indeed, then-home minister Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad had committed treason when he ordered the officers not to testify before the parliamentary select committee on integrity.

AngryBird: The reluctance of Home Ministry officials to testify shows that the Umno government was behind the issue of granting instant citizenship to Filipino and Indonesian Muslims.

They are traitors of the highest degree. Sabahans are fully aware of treachery committed by Umno and yet still voted for the party in GE13 just because some left-over bones were thrown to them.

In short, Sabahans are now reaping what they have sown.

Peacemaker: Mohd Radzi has earned himself a public caning for acting treasonously. Then he should be drawn and quartered after a judicial hearing by one of those Umno-appointed judges.

Peppermint: To reissue ICs (identity cards) in Sabah is meant to overcome the issue of immigrants holding ‘fake' Malaysian identity cards.

Under this proposal, the state government may pass a new ordinance in the state legislative assembly. This would enable Sabah to have its own registration department that could issue the IC to genuine Malaysians in the state.

Geronimo: Bernard, you too should be charged for treason for not doing anything to stop the tide. You could have pulled out of the BN, but instead you decided to stay on to serve the Umno masters and earn your keeps at the same time.

Although you have decided to disclose the cloak and dagger operations of Umno now, but it is too late. Look at the your state today.

Gotcha: From all these facts summarised, the rakyat understands how dirty the Umno-BN were in past GEs.

They practically sold our country to foreigners for votes, elections after elections. The rakyat's heart aches whenever we hear such fraud.

'Penang should also share Sabah's refugee burden'

Sowat: Dompok, why send the Sabah refugees to Penang? They have nothing to do with the problem. Send them to Putrajaya and Pekan - those are the leaders who were responsible for the problem. Or send them all to Johor, their ancestors' stronghold.

Wong100: Send all to Kedah - the father caused the problem, let the son handle it.

Ghostwhowalks: Who created this mess of illegal foreigners in Sabah? Is it not a West Malaysian PM? Who has authority to issue IC if not the federal government, controlled by West Malaysian BN.

Why did they do it? So that BN can remain the government of the day. So my solution is very simple - just share all the illegal immigrants (or refugees) equally with all BN-controlled states.

Let's see whether BN supporters welcome them when they are sent to their states to use their hospitals, schools, prisons, social welfare, public space, and set up refugee shanty towns, etc.

Lover Boy: Dear Dompok, your request to share the illegal immigrants with Penang and West Malaysia is totally unreasonable.

In the 20-point agreement to form Malaysia, the issue of immigration is no 6.

"Control over immigration into any part of Malaysia from outside should rest with the central government but entry into North Borneo should also require the approval of the state government.

"The federal government should not be able to veto the entry of persons into North Borneo for state government purposes except on strictly security grounds.

"North Borneo should have unfettered control over the movements of persons other than those in federal government employ from other parts of Malaysia into North Borneo."

You have sold your soul to Umno and the illegal immigrant problems today are your own doing.

Pahatian: The Upko president is talking nonsense. Why should the other states share Sabah's refugee problem? A problem is already created in Sabah and he thinks that the problem will be solved if other states also take in their refugees.

In the first place, why did Sabah accept the refugees from the Philippines?

When Vietnamese refugees entered our shores at the close of the Vietnam War, they were forced to turn back and many drowned, although eventually they were accepted and confined to refugee camps here and later sent to other countries.

Why are the Filipino refugees not treated the same way? The simple answer is they are Muslims while the Vietnamese are not. How can the rules be bent just because they are Muslims and be given permanent residence or even citizenship?

Their right of permanent residence or citizenship should be withdrawn if obtained illegally. There are no two ways about it.

OMG!!: How could the conducting officer try to justify Project IC? How could he justify anything obtained by illegal means? If this is the ruling elites' solution, then they can throw away the Penal Code.

And Dompok still tries to whitewash these illegals as refugees. He knows very well they are economic immigrants and Dr Mahathir Mohamad's WMD (weapons of mass destruction) to destroy the KDM (KadazanDusunMurut) community in Sabah.
