Resign? Paul Low is right where he wants to be

YOURSAY 'Why should he resign? The pay's good and the perks/benefits are even better.'

Paul Low denies following Waytha in quitting

Onyourtoes: I don’t know how the rumour of Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Paul Low resigning got started.

I for one have never doubted he would stay on even if corruption has reached the stratosphere or if the whole BN government has disintegrated.

That ministerial position is 'heaven‑sent' which Paul Low will kiss and cherish till he dies. Do you think he cares two hoots of corruption going to the roof or about Prime Minister Najib Razak’s trust placed on him?

Is Najib’s trust worth anything? Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia leader and deputy minister P Waythamoorthy too should have known better. The government has no integrity, that is why we need a 'minister of integrity' to take the rap, can’t you see it?

Does Singapore have a minister of integrity or for that matter, a minister of key performance indicators (KPI)? This is all hanging a cow head to sell dog meat.

SpongeBob: Paul Low will not resign as he has no target or any particular key performance index (KPI) to achieve as long as the Umno leaders and his boss enjoy living beyond their means.

This is a heavenly job for his age. He might as well enjoy his ministerial privileges instead of rocking the boat! Anyway, in BN's government, who cares about integrity and proper governing. For now his tagline is if you can't beat them, join them.

Anonymous_4031c: What's the trust? To do the PM's bidding or to act independently to crack the whip on all the enforcement agencies to fight corruption and tackle this endemic illness prevalent in the administration?

It will be very difficult for you to act as much as you want to as it's a futile exercise being a mannequin to dress up the political shop window.

Shanandoah: Paul Low has no choice but to resign if he has any honour. Najib Abdul Razak trusts him to do his bidding - to cover up corruption as much as he possibly can!

The system is now so rotten that Paul Low cannot do anything to save the situation. At best he can enjoy his perks as a minister, unlike his former colleague P Waythamoorthy who lost everything by resigning.

Samurai: Low's job in Najib's cabinet is to give him a stamp of credibility in the fight against corruption, a nice packaging to show off when he is pretending to care about corruption when everyone knows how badly corrupt the entire administration has always been under Umno's very eyes.

All Low has ever done in his one year in office has been to give excuses and nothing has ever been done and people even get rewarded.

Paul Low says he will breathe down on Malaysian Anti‑Corruption Commission (MACC)? Why not start with the trio who grilled former DAP aide Teoh Beng Hock literally to death? How can an agency with such tainted officers function with credibility? The RCI has already ruled so, so what's keeping Low?

Telestai!: Paul Low, resign and save some dignity for yourself. You are ineffective because BN never intended to allow you to do your work.

Admit it, BN is beyond redemption and there is nothing you can do to change it. In the bible, Paul was a man of extremely high integrity but what we have witnessed of you lately is the complete opposite.

Factnot Fiction: Low would not resign as he is a man with no integrity and principles He just wants to be a minister.

DontPlayGod: Why should he resign? The pay's good and the perks/benefits are even better. And the PM trusts him to be obedient and be a good supporter and follower.

Multi Racial: Of course he will not resign. It goes to show what he is in the cabinet for in the first place.

Sugus: I still respect then-senator Zaid Ibrahim who resigned as de facto law minister a couple of years ago. Integrity has lost its meaning in Bolehland. It has become Suapland.
