Police allegedly assaulted a man in Muar Tuesday when he refused to be admitted to hospital, after seeking follow-up treatment for an earlier head injury.

Azzrul Syah Mohd Amin, 24, said that the officers assaulted him in a police patrol car resulting in injuries to his eyes and back.

According to his police report lodged at the Muar police station today, the officers had “grabbed (him) by the neck” and “dragged” him into the car where he was “punched” in the face.
