Student activists have urged for the abolition of two Acts related to university administration, following the recent suspension of 25 students from three local universities on various charges.

The Student Movement To Abolish UUCA handed over a memorandum to the BN and Pakatan Rayat MPs on the matter in Parliament today.

The group wants the University and University Colleges Act 1971 (UUCA) as well as the Educational Institutions (Discipline) Act 1976 to be abolished as it represses student rights.
