YOURSAY ‘Zulkifli has apologised for ridiculing Hindu gods some time ago.’

Don't invite another May 13, warns Zul

David Dass: Who is this man to threaten violence on others? Who is he to threaten a riot? A decision of the Federal Court may be criticised so long as the criticism is fair and accurate and does not indicate disrespect for the Federal Court.

Academics criticise court judgments all the time. The Catholic Church will accept the prohibition on the use by The Herald of the term ‘Allah’ as a reference to the Catholic God.

The government has issued a statement on when the church may use the term - that is, in the Alkitab and in worship.

Unhappy as many are about the decision, the church will abide by it as far as The Herald is concerned. That is the scope of the judgment. The matter should end there. And threats of rioting and killing need not be made. Will the authorities stop this man?

Ratbatblue: If this is not seditious, I don’t know what is. This man openly invokes a very traumatic experience in the history of the country, which everyone but him and his ilk want to forget, and they are allowed to do so openly and with impunity.

In reality, Zulkifli Noordin is a coward - he openly apologised when everybody came down on him for ridiculing Hindu gods some time ago. Now he is at it again.

Anonymous #85701391: Today's ordinary Malay Malaysians are more urbanised, well-educated, well-read and informed, their faith and belief have remained and unchanged, and they are in good health and wealth.

Their population has increased greatly and most important of all, they are the biggest middle-class group.

Ask any businessperson and they will tell you no business could survive if this group is ignored. Of course, in terms of material and monetary wealth, these ordinary Malay Malaysians are nowhere near to any of the poorer Umnoputras and cronies.

So, is this guy on Umno’s behalf trying to create a change using religion to reduce this group of Malay Malaysians’ growing influence in politics and well-being in the country?

Ferdtan: "And Islam teaches us to fight against the ‘kafir harbi’ and ‘munafik’ with whatever means necessary, which is allowed by Islam and the laws of the land," said former Perkasa leader Zulkifli Noordin.

Why do you have to fight when you are already the majority in the country? That is not fighting to defend Islam; that is bullying.

United States is the largest ‘kafir harbi’ country and if you are so pious and not ‘munafik’, please follow your self-interpreted Islamic teaching to volunteer to take arms like those Malay militants in Syria civil war to fight against the Americans?

Please declare jihad on the big guys, the Americans? Don’t just be brave when you attack only the small guys, the minorities in this country.

Mondou_Otogod: One thing is true from my observation is that when the court decision sided with the Catholics and Christians for example in the High Court decision which decided that the usage of ‘Allah’ was allowed, the non-Muslims will asked the Muslims to respect the rule of law and condemned those who defy the High Court decision.

But now when the highest court of the land has decided against the Catholics and Christians, the non-Muslims refused to abide by rule of law and even condemned those who asked them to respect rule of law. What hypocrites.

ACR: Court judgments should be open to public scrutiny and discussion. It is idiotic for anyone to say it cannot be discussed or even worse as the inspector-general of police said those who question the decision can be charged for sedition .

Bear in mind that three of the judges gave dissenting views. Are we to say that these three judges have committed sedition also since they did not agree with the other four judges? What rubbish is this?

Tiger50: What Zulkifli said was extremely provocative and seditious but as usual the police will not charge him and instead will choose to charge someone else for using the word 'celaka'.

This country is going down to dogs with extreme Muslims like Isma and Ridhuan Tee Abdullah fanning hatred and disharmony. I feel so sorry for the next generations who will be the victims of moronic politicians and extremists taking such a suicidal course.

Ipohcrite: Zulkifli Noordin is now threatening to start a May 13 if there are parties that persist in questioning the court's Herald decision.

For your information, Zulkifli, there are also many Malays and Muslims who do not agree with the court's decision on The Herald case. Are you threatening them as well, or are you assuming that only non-Malays and non-Muslims are questioning the court's decision?

By your actions, you are hell-bent on causing racial and religious divisiveness among the rakyat instead of being a good Muslim in uniting them.

Awakened: I think Zulkifli had forgotten he was the guy who belittled the Hindu religion many years ago when he commented about the statues of Hindu gods.

Now, he is twisting the fact as though the Christians are insulting Islam by questioning the Federal Court decision in not granting leave to the church 's application to appeal against the appellate court decision.

Zulkifli is a lawyer by profession and he should know the case of Adorna Properties vs Boonsoom Boonayit in 2000 where the Federal Court made a decision against Boonsoom who lost her property even though the judges knew it was a fraud.

This federal court judgment was heavily criticised by the legal profession. Zulkifli should understand that judges are human and they can "err" too.

Luckily, this bad judgment was reversed by the Federal Court a few years ago when another similar case was brought to the court.

Casey: A lawyer by training? This kind of racist bigot embarrasses and brings shame to the legal profession. It is hard to imagine a more racist, or stupid or more dangerous way of sowing hatred and stoking violence.

Good Muslims and good Malays, I'm sure, would distance themselves from this freak or treat him as no more than a hypocrite.

A bigot like him will only do harm to the image of the otherwise peace-loving people of this country.

Zul, your fight on ‘Allah’ is with the natives
