YOURSAY ‘On an alarming note, he is not alone, his racism is shared by many.’

'Hitler' Bung continues to shoot himself in foot

StrainingGnats, SwallowCamels: Quote - "And the lawmaker (Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin) replied, ‘There is nobody like Hitler in Gaza. Unlucky for them.’”

We all make mistakes in the choice of our words. But this is entire train of dark thoughts. In this comment, Bung is saying that if Hitler is now in Gaza as he was in Germany during World War Two, there would be another Jewish holocaust.

That's a cruel comment on par with his first (‘Long Live Hitler’) tweet, providing more evidence of the darkness within him.

Now what would German ambassador to Malaysia Holger Michael say? The Jewish people are human beings just like the Palestinians, and Malaysians.

Unlucky for the Palestinians that they do not have Hitler on their side? If history teaches lessons, we can be sure that Hitler would not stop with just Israel...

Vijay47: Unfortunately, I will not join others in condemning this representative of the Malaysian political elite over his admiration of Hitler.

Offence emanates when the person involved is believed to have some minimal intelligence and is expected to know better. Bung Moktar, not surprisingly, fails both criteria.

This member of parliament's past comments and actions merely confirm the mould he comes from, this is a person totally lacking in even those little virtues one would hope to find in any man.

Such is his adherence to decency, respect, and dignity that rather than feel any regret or shame over his tasteless statements, Bung Moktar will actually consider himself a Jew-hating hero to be admired and this can be seen from the fact that he is even unable to understand why the whole world views him as something rotten and disgusting that the cat brought in.

On a more alarming note, he is not alone - his racist attitude is shared by most in his party and worse, sanctioned by his leader.

Ferdtan: “They are not hitting me because of Hitler but because I am Bung Moktar," said the Kinabatangan MP.

Wow, Bung you must be famous in the world as not only Malaysians criticised you but also the German ambassador to Malaysia, United States-based news magazine, Time , and also the British broadcaster BBC.

It is a joke he said; but the joke is not only on you but on the whole country and the ruling government. Yes, the BN government under PM Najib Razak.

I pity Najib when he goes overseas to meet with world leaders. How will he answered when he is asked about our little ‘Hilter’ MP in Malaysia?

Gopi Sekhar: I had doubts about this man’s educational background and upbringing from his rather crude comments in the past, but his utterly unacceptable foot-in-the-mouth nonsense on Hitler shows he really is an ignorant man.

He doesn't seem to have a clue just how insensitive and inappropriate his comments were and how incredibly dumb he seems when he tries to justify it with equally absurd excuses.

The point is that he is old enough to know better and is unfortunately a member of parliament. Very shameful indeed for all of us.

Awakened: The Germans do not like to be associated with Hitler because of the shame Hitler brought to Germany during World War Two.

The Germans has been apologising to the Jews because of what  Hitler did to them. It is distasteful when Bung tried to link Hitler to Germans today.

Bung's uncontrolled mouth has always cause hurt to many peoples even though he tried to give the excuse that he doesn't mean it.

Magnus: The fascist Nazis dished out that same brand of their criminally vile and barbarically clinical inhumanity everywhere they invaded, conquered and subjugated.

That is why the world was united to fight and defeat the Nazis in Germany and other like-minded fascists in Italy and Japan. All that is now history and those countries and their people are nothing like anything during those WW2 days.

Hence, Bung's glorification of Hitler and his Nazism in reference to the German football team's well-deserved win over Brazil gives one the unmistakable impression that Bung thinks, and so is saying obliquely, that today's democratic Germany and its football team are in some way still like the old Germany under the despotic rule of Adolf Hitler.

I wonder what Chancellor Angela Merkel has to say about Bung's oblique reference to her Germany today.

Bash: Indeed, what a disgrace to his fellow parliamentarians - a man not fit to be an MP who has bad taste and lack of intelligence to differentiate right from wrong. Can Kinabatangan constituents find no better candidate to represent them?

Oriole: Does this man realise that based on Hitler's racist ideology, he would be rated as a ‘beruk’ or even lower?

When you don't know history, you make asinine statements that depict the country with a barbarian civilisation. Najib, you should be proud at the level of education of your MPs.
