So Ridhuan is saying we should all join Taliban?

YOURSAY ‘Ridhuan, what’s your response to Taliban's massacre of Muslims?’

Ridhuan: No such thing as 'moderate Muslims'

David Dass: “Islam is not a moderate religion.” What a statement from Sinar Harian columnist Ridhuan Tee Abdullah.

Given the awful massacre of teachers and children in a school in Peshawar by the Taliban and given the killings by Isis (Islamic State) in Iraq of the Yazidis and Christians who refused to convert  - that statement of Ridhuan Tee says it all.

Moderate Malays should now stand up and reject people like him and the likes of Perkasa and Isma. We are ruled by a constitution. We have laws that ensure public order and safety. All are free to practice their faith without interference.

Appreciate the freedom that we have. Do not surrender that freedom to people who think that they have the knowledge to know what God wants but without His wisdom, love and compassion.

Sirach: Ridhuan Tee is a self-promoting demagogue whose only aim in life seems to be to win acceptance as a bona fide Malay, which he clearly is not. So he goes to extreme lengths to burnish his credentials as a devout Muslim which, judging by these remarks, is also in some doubt.

He randomly spews hatred toward his ethnic compatriots, something antithetical to the great Abrahamic faith he professes to live by. His inability to make a distinction between fundamentalism and moderation is troubling for one who makes a living as an academic.

He never ceases to amaze and exhibit the shallowness of thinking with every word he utters. But his is good entertainment. He should consider a change of profession - to comedian, or better yet, clown.

Myrights: Ridhuan Tee should state his personal and official stand as to his support for the Taliban which just killed 126 children in Pakistan and also Isis which beheads whom it believes are not true believers.

Since he thinks there is only one version of Islam, so by his reasoning, then Isis, Taliban all practice the same Islam as the one he supports. But, then, why are Taliban and Isis killing other Muslims?

How do you explain that, Ridhuan?

Real Truth: Indeed, what is your response to the Taliban's massacre of fellow Muslims in Peshawar, Pakistan?

Are you suggesting that we follow this path compared to the moderate voices of well-educated former civil servants.

We know you must be elated that extremist voices are drowning moderate voices of compassion, love for another God's people and human dignity to peace and harmony.

BTN: If Islam is what makes a people to be like this ungrateful Chinese than I would rather be an atheist.

Spiritually I do not want to live my life having hatred towards another human being just because he is a minority in the country he reside or he has other belief different from mine.

Commentable: Ridhuan Tee, you may be a Muslim but that doesn't make you a Malay. There is no such thing as a pseudo Malay. Either you are born a Malay or you are not.

Likewise, a Malay may either be a moderate or he/she is not. It is what the religion has instilled in that person that makes one stands out from others. Obviously you have some way to go yet.

Lamborghini: What this Chinese convert is espousing is very dangerous. He is equating ‘fundamental’ with ‘extreme’. Is Ridhuan Tee saying that the fundamentalist Islam like the Al Qaeda, Taliban and Isis is the correct brand of islam?

If there is no moderation in Islam, how are the different communities in a multi-religious, multi-racial, multi-cultural society like Malaysia ever going to live in harmony with one another?

I pray that more of the moderate Malays and all Malaysians who are moderates and desire peace and harmony will speak up and silence the irresponsible and insolent voices of extremism like Ridhuan Tee's and his ilk.

Patriot1: Ridhuan Tee, any member of the Eminent 25 Malays is way out of your league. They had held either high government office or represented our country in good capacity.

Maturity comes with age and exposure, and you exhibit neither. Retirement is never an issue and they spoke out because they see the country in crisis and it's done out of the love for this country.

Fundamentalism and extremism are different and nobody is threatening Islam in this country. Those who said so never came up with any proof but just like you continue to spew toxic statements to polarise our nation.

If there is any cancellation of citizenship you should be the first to go because it's people like you who know nothing but to preach hate that will destroy the social fabric of our country. You do not deserve any rightful place in this country.

I wonder how come you are still teaching. Obviously you're not fit to teach in any capacity. You've not done any favour for Islam but instead destroyed goodwill among Malaysians.

Apa Ini ?: So the Eminent 25 are challenged to do something for their "religion, race and country", to quote Ridhuan Tee.

And our question is; what have you done except bring shame and division to religion (fundamental Muslim who would condemn Shias as deviants, no doubt), race (you are clearly a wannabe Malay, totally cursing your Chinese DNA), and country?

What's with converts who think being Muslim is being Malay?
