YOURSAY ‘Stop politicking, do more policing, then you won't be puzzled!’

Cops puzzled how explosives smuggled out

The Reaper : Malaysian authorities are a strange lot. When a major incident happens (such as army man Ayob Hassim smuggling out explosives from a camp in Kedah), they will ask, "What happened"? A bunch of clowns...

Liew Lean Kut: What was this army person doing with the explosives? Was he making a bomb? How come he was able to smuggle explosives out of the army camp?

Is he a member of Isis and is planning a terrorist act? The most important matter is, are his friends involved? There was a rumour that there will be a terrorist attack on Malaysia, was this man involved?

Dear inspector-general of police (IGP), please find answers to these questions pronto before more Malaysian lives are lost!

Please focus your attention on the security of the country and do not focus your attention on the opposition members who are voted by the people, they will not destroy Malaysia but Isis and the terrorists will!

Hank Marvin : Remember that when this IGP was the Selangor chief police officer (CPO) he even lost his own car. And later the police lost the guns in the sea. But the police, and now the military, are so good when it comes to coming down hard on the opposition, these jokers are so effective. Maybe they think they are the security officers for Umno-BN instead of the taxpayers.

Anonymous_3f6d : Stop playing politics and do more policing work, then you won't be puzzled! The rakyat are now living in fear while you live in puzzlement!

Appum : Mr IGP, how come YOU are puzzled but WE are not?

Wg321 : What is there to be puzzled? When C4 was used to blow up a Mongolian beauty who knew too much, there was a cover-up.

They refused to investigate how C4 was smuggled out of army camp to blow up a civilian. Nobody was found guilty even for the theft or loss of C4 explosive or disciplinary action against army personnel and the police for negligence which resulted in Altantuya Shaariibuu's cruel death.

Nobody was court-martial for the loss of C4 explosive but they will quickly court-martial an air force pilot who makes a police report on the fake indelible ink during the 13th general election (GE).

Anonymous_1371563774 : Whatever wrongdoings or "errors" from the ruling end, please blame it on either natural disaster or personal issues! Absolutely not the government’s fault! That's what we call "accountability"?

RR : We cannot rule out terrorist involvement in this explosion. The Islamist terrorists work discreetly. Army and police bases are ideal resource depots to obtain explosives and firearms.

After all Malaysia is on record for having Islamist terrorists trained here and gone to the Middle East to kill innocent women and children. So IGP and home minister, please don't just dismiss terrorists’ involvement.

Shrek : This news is nothing new! If they could smuggle out a jet engine, what difficulty is there in taking out a bomb. Soon enough, they start to introduce new "standard operating procedures (SOP)", new "rules", new "laws", new "pekeliling" and whatnot, just to last not even a full 12 months calendar and then back to square one. Sounds familiar?

SSDhaliwal : Are we supposed to be surprised that a low-ranking army staffer can waltz in and out of an army camp with explosives?

Our military competency is doubtful at best given that we know how unidentified aircraft can breach Malaysian airspace as our radars operate only during office hours.

Anonymous_3e86 : Puzzled? The IGP is puzzled? But I don't think the rakyat are puzzled or amused. It has happened before and it will happen again. Yes, it will happen again! Why so? Because nobody from the top is accountable at all.

CYLee : Police investigation should leave no stones unturned. Military arsenals can be used against the country if they get into the wrong hands. IS terrorists can be a threat anywhere in the world.

Spirit of Malaya : Hello, IGP! Please settle the C4 issue first before you start another "how come?" drama! We have enough dramas on TV already!

Baiyuensheng : I am afraid Islamic extremists have infiltrated into the army and like I said before probably already embedded into the whole governing structures top to bottom - like sleepers if you like. They will be triggered at moment notice to strike terrors and take over... to turn Malaysia into a caliphate state.

The most frightening part is they take orders from foreigners. You see Islamic extremists have an enforced concept of religious brotherhood that cut across race and nationality. They do not have much sentiment on borders.

Of course whether this concept can be sustained is questionable because eventually certain groups will try to exert its influence. A sad day in Malaysia where innocents died due to army-issued explosives.

Negarawan : This is an extremely serious matter, and I hope that the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and armed forces investigate thoroughly and urgently. Saying that he is "puzzled" in this and previous cases does not give any confidence to the rakyat.

There are hundreds of military bases in Malaysia. Has the PDRM and armed forces started checking whether there is any similar missing ordnance in each of this base? Has the PDRM checked the possible link of this army personnel to IS, or even to extremist movements like Perkasa or Isma?

Ckl0001 : This incident of breach of security at the Hobart military camp is very serious as security has been compromised and as a result it threatens public safety. Is the defence minister responsible and be accountable for this incident? What will be done to ensure there will NOT be a recurrence of this? Even if this is an isolated case, it should never happen.

David How can he brush off terrorism when they have just started investigations? Malaysians are indeed puzzled by a puzzling IGP.

Lies, Lies & More Lies : This is called the MH370 syndrome. Lots of things are happening in the country and nobody know how and why. People with fake passports board our planes, we don't know the cargo manifest, the plane flies over an army air base and we are asleep and of course we don't know the plane’s location till now.

Even plane engines disappear from the air force base. How can we possibly detect two small bombs?
