Mahfuz, no humanitarian mission to Ulan Bator?

YOURSAY ‘Who is crying for Altantuya Shaariibuu's restless soul?

Tears flow over sambal bilis as Sirul meets mum

Final Count Down: A delegation by PAS to comfort a murderer? You must be joking. How about some tears of grief for Altantuya Shaariibuu's family and her son, who have yet to learn the truth why she was so brutally murdered?

Sirul Azhar Umar, who are you trying to shield or are you trying to get a better deal? Make peace with your Allah and expose the true killer/s or forever remained a pariah in a foreign land.

MingXiang: A humanity trip, my foot. You don't need to send a delegation. It's not cheap to send a group of seven to Sydney with accommodation thrown in and it is not as if PAS is flush with funds.

Who are those other people in the delegation anyway? I am now wondering whether the trip is funded by 'someone' to see if some sort of deal can be worked out with Sirul in exchange for his freedom and some money.

All the hype and eventually everything will go poof...

Swipenter: As a parent, I empathise with Sirul Azhar Umar’s mother Piah Samad but who is crying for Altantuya's restless soul, her father, her siblings and her children?

Sirul, for the sake of God, let the truth be known and be at peace with yourself. If this is a ‘drama minggu ini’ then eternal hell fire awaits you.

Dr Suresh Kumar: PAS information chief Mahfuz Omar, how about a 'humanitarian mission' or a 'forgiveness mission' to be specific, for the family of Altantuya, the allegedly expectant mother who was killed in the most brutal manner then exploded into smithereens?

On top of that, there was a sambal bilis feast for a cold-blooded murderer. Whatever happened to your religious upbringing, if you were truly genuine about this mission, the least you could have done is to avoid publicity and do things quietly.

Abasir: As Dr Suresh Kumar has suggested, a humanitarian mission to Mongolia with that turbaned, goateed rogue in tow should be next on your itinerary. The murderer you are sympathetic with has a couple of grieving victims in Ulan Bator.

But I guess such a mission is not allowed by your religion.

Starwars: Sirul is just a cold-blooded murderer who is trying to escape from being punished for his crime.

He tried all means possible in the court to escape from being punished and after he was found guilty, this cold-blooded murderer ran away claiming to be innocent. He is now a criminal on the run.

Just think of how the innocent girl would have begged him to spare her life. He not only shot her but he also blew her into pieces. This man must be hanged for his crime.

Kilgore: With his mother in Australia, Sirul has a golden opportunity to save his soul and tell the truth, while not putting her at risk.

The Australian authorities can't stop him from making a statement. The ball is in his court.

Ah Hoe: Australian law does not permit a criminal to profit from revelations of his/her crimes to the press (for example, TV contracts) or in a published book.

Kit P: Perhaps Altantuya cursed those responsible just before they killed her. It appears they are all going to meet their fate soon, no matter how high their position.

Umno blogger: Mahfuz hopes Sirul will finger PM

Justine Gow: The questions are: 1) whether Sirul knows from whom the orders first originated and, 2) specifically what the orders were.

One cannot rule out the possibility that the orders may have been just to put terrors into the mind of the victim so that she would leave the country, but things went awry resulting in her death.

For obvious reasons, even if the orders were not to kill the victim, it is unlikely that the person or people who gave the orders would want to come out and admit openly what was going on.

Vijay47: If Mahfuz is indeed in Australia to get Sirul to sing like a canary and in the process finger or nail the prime minister, all I would say is "Good on you, mate!"

What is so unacceptable if some fingering exercise is done by Sirul or anyone else, for that matter? It would be wrong and illegal only if Mahfuz instigates Sirul to make some false accusations against PM Najib Razak.

But if the allegations and statements by Sirul are based on facts, bloggers, cyber-troopers or Umno members cannot scream their new-found excuse of "political conspiracy". And Najib can start singing the blues.

Anonymous_4031c: "A murderer will say anything to save his life. So by speaking in a vague fashion, he believes the government and the prime minister can be spooked by his lies,” said Kunta Kinte.

"If he was truly acting under orders, he would have revealed it in court. He could have mentioned it when he fled to Australia (and not after the verdict was delivered).”

Kunta Kinte is right. Since Sirul cannot be trusted, there is no need for us to worry about anything said.

Let Sirul spew his two sen worth of utter rubbish. No one will believe him anyway.
