Hadi, best for you to pull out of Pakatan

YOURSAY ‘Wherever Pakatan is heading, you, Hadi, is not coming along.’

Hadi: I don't know where Pakatan is headed

David Dass: DAP should not try to be clever with PAS. PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang is right when he says that PAS has been consistent with its agenda of an Islamic state and hudud.

DAP, together with PKR, has to consider whether it is feasible for them to continue with the opposition coalition. For PKR, it has to consider whether it is prepared to compete with PAS in the next elections. And DAP should review its policies. Its ‘Malaysia for Malaysians’ concept may not work as it results in inevitable comparisons with PAP.

There is in the minds of many Malays and at one time the Chinese as well, that the PAP was bad for Malaysia. Would the Chinese have accepted the closure of vernacular schools? Well, that is what Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) did in Singapore.

Would the Chinese here defend the use of the Internal Security Act? LKY used the ISA liberally. And he used defamation suits to destroy the opposition. And gerrymandering was used as well. In the last elections, the PAP had 60 percent of the votes but got 81 of the seats while the opposition won only six seats.

The DAP and its coalition partners have to reassure the Malays that they would be looked after by any alternative government.

We have made many strides in our democracy. We have the beginnings of a two-party state, which is a good thing.

PAS must realise that hudud and the Islamic state will never be implemented in Malaysia. It has been implemented in a few countries and they are all failed states.

Pemerhati: Hadi, the obvious and glaring Umno Trojan horse in Pakatan Rakyat, may claim that he does not know where Pakatan is headed.

But Hadi himself is definitely headed towards implementing the barbaric and cruel laws that were created by a group of people in the Middle East several centuries ago.

Tell the Truth: Hadi, you don’t know where Pakatan is heading but we know where you are heading.

Drngsc: Hadi, you should join Umno so that we can bury the two of you together. Pakatan will be fine without you. The moderate PAS has Malaysia at heart, unlike you.

Anticonmen: Everything, you don’t know. Don't understand the federal constitution. Don't understand what amendments require two-thirds majority. Don't understand the election pact agreed between Pakatan parties. Don't understand the difference between politics and religion.

Don't understand economic management. Don't understand what Malaysians want from the government. Don't understand what is good for the nation.

Don't understand how to speak as a leader. Don't understand how to dress up properly like other elected representatives. Don't understand how to project a progressive image as a leader of a diverse people.

Multi Racial: Instead of putting their resources to help the flood victims, they are more interested in implement hududing.

I sure hope PAS members are not like those from BN. I sure hope they will vote for a president who has bigger plans for Malaysia than just hudud and backstabbing their partners in Pakatan.

If PAS members believe the best way to reform the country is by capturing Putrajaya, then they must vote Hadi out and vote in the moderates.

Martha: Did I not say about the implications of implementing hudud, now hear for yourselves what Hadi said, "Hope other states would follow Kelantan's example in pursuing the implementation of hudud law".

And he's got the bloody cheek to say that hudud is only for Kelantan. Liar. Keep religion out of politics. You are only tarnishing your religion with your disgraceful behaviour.

Lamps: Hadi, you dragged Pakatan through the mud. You betrayed your partners and then point fingers at them saying they betrayed you. Get lost.

PKR and DAP will form Pakatan Baru with PasMa. You can team up with Umno since that is what you want.

Boonpou: Wherever Pakatan is heading, you, Hadi, is not coming along. Stay on to your course of implementing hudud. I could say more but that won't get me published by Malaysiakini if you know what I mean.

Seriously, Hadi, please introduce your hudud in Kelantan and see what that will get PAS in today's political reality.

Do you, Hadi, think Malaysia is another Afghanistan? Do you think the majority of the Muslims in Malaysia are that stupidly conservative?

Ksn: Hadi, you deliberately, knowingly sabotaged, betrayed Pakatan and now you say you do not know where Pakatan is heading.

So please take PAS from the coalition. Pakatan will emerge stronger without PAS.

Urkidding: A head of a party who refused to attend any of Pakatan’s council meetings has no right to ask where it is heading to. You failed miserably in committing to a common agenda and the best way out for you is to leave the coalition.

No one is stopping you from joining any other group you wish but do not hamper the progress of Pakatan.

Retnam: The faster Hadi tables the bill in Parliament, the better. We can see Umno’s stand then. After that, BN will crumble.
