YOURSAY ‘Taib chose Adenan to become CM so Adenan has a debt of gratitude.’

Taib Mahmud ‘given’ RM3.7 million Rolls Royce

Eagle: Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem takes pains to show he is man of change but nothing really gets changed with this latest Rolls-Royce for ex-CM and now governor Abdul Taib Mahmud.

Adenan also awarded the RM350 million new museum project to Cahya Mata Sarawak, Taib's family’s company, pressured the natives to accept construction of Baram Dam which benefits Taib, allowed huge pieces of former government land near Kuching airport to be developed, etc.

Is he a man of change? Showmanship-wise, yes, but not in reality.

Ourvotesdecide: Taib = Adenan. Taib chose Adenan to be the new CM so Adenan has a debt of gratitude.

Now Adenan tries to talk, sound and act like a great reformer but his actions all showed he is no different from Taib, the ‘sultan’ of Sarawak.

Mosquitobrain: Beside the indemnity given to Taib, which shielded him from further Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) harassment, his governorship comes with a limousine to chauffeur him around whenever he is in town.

Taxpayers are bleeding and suffering. BN warlords are splashing money like nobody’s business.

Bringon14: Doesn't it just warm your heart to see our leaders and ex-leaders travel in such comfort and style (and opulence).

One wonders where all that money comes from though. Ah well, such are the trappings of this corrupt regime, past and present.

RKR: For a man who has been reported to possess a few billion ringgit worth of assets, what is a RM3.7 million car?

The people must be blamed for continuously voting in such characters to rule.

Apa Ini? : Disgusting, Adenan, - and very disappointing. The truth is Taib could buy Sarawak dozens of Rolls-Royces without blinking. And we thought you promised change.

Negarawan: This is an extremely sad and deplorable situation for Malaysians. This can only happen when we have a corrupt Umno government with its tentacles wrapped around all the key electoral, judicial, and financial institutions.

Mushiro: Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad should spare some time and comment on Taib, too. This is another multibillion ringgit man along with his family and yet Mahathir has not said a word about him.

Taib has done to Sarawak and its people things as bad as Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and wife Rosmah Mansor did to Malaysians.

Obviously Mahathir has an axe to grind with Najib but is willing to close an eye with all the other multibillion ringgit leaders - many created and encouraged by him.

Fateh: The rakyat are struggling to meet ends need, like food, shelter, etc, with prices of essentials going up, up and up, while all these ‘emperors’ are enjoying a lavish lifestyle.

Supercession: It would appear Malaysia has the highest number of ‘emperors’ within a single state, globally speaking. Najib & Co must be very proud of that.

Snake-in-the-Grass: Sarawakians would probably be so proud to have another record – ‘Most Rolls-Royce owned’ by fellow Sarawakian. Sarawak Boleh!

Speaking Sense: Obscene. It makes no difference whether it is Taib or Adenan on top. It's all talk with BN, state or federal.

The more time you give them, the more the people will suffer from the wastefulness of the state government.

But we still have people like SUPP president Wong Soon Koh and Sarawak cabinet member Alfred Jabu singing praises of Adenan and selling the interests of their own communities

And I resent Wong for claiming to represent the Chinese because he certainly doesn't represent me, or the majority of Sarawakians, of any race.

1Malaysian: Umno culture is to look after all the leaders, so when it is their time to retire, they too will get a fat pay check and a Rolls Royce.

Over50ABU: Don’t be fooled by Adenan's humble talk about fighting corruption. It's an election gimmick, nothing will materialise after election.

Bring the whole government down, ask for change of government.

Wsoi: Pakatan Rakyat must provide mutually-beneficial policies if given a chance to govern Sarawak.

Tell Sarawakians what your plan is to gain mass support before the coming state election. If Pakatan wins the state election, the 14th General Election is as good as won.

You fail to plan, you plan to fail. Simple.

There is a great opportunity this round if the politicians are committed to deliver what people aspire.
