Azmin may face royal hurdle in snap polls

YOURSAY ‘One bad experience in Perak is enough, we don’t want it in S’gor.’

PAS rep vows to defend people's mandate

Ferdtan: Once again, Morib assemblyperson Hasnul Baharuddin, a hero, has pledged to be with Pakatan Rakyat to enable it not to fall to BN without going through the process of an election.

Many don’t realised that it is highly advantageous for an incumbent government to fight either a general election or state election. If this cannot be understood, then we have no business to be commenting on politics.

The funding and resources that come along if you are the ruling incumbent will make a big difference. With Hasnul’s pledge, at least Pakatan can buy valuable time to dissolve the assembly and prepare for the election.

Hasnul is carrying the message to BN that they cannot once again take over Selangor government illegally, like in the Perak coup, by enticing Pakatan lawmakers to defect to them.

One bad experience in Perak is enough, and we do not want it to happen in Selangor.

CQ Muar: Hulu Kelang assemblyperson Saari Sungib and Hasnul, this is one time in your political career to show your mettle, dignity and honour.

All eyes are on you both to stand tall. You did well during the Selangor MB crisis, even to the extent of breaking ranks to show support for PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

We hope you would not buckle this time around when Selangor needed you most. How the rakyat view you at this moment is paramount to your leadership status should Pakatan indeed win Putrajaya.

You should never, ever let any influence whatsoever to sway you during such a crucial period. Let wisdom prevail and be your guide.

Jiminy Qrikert: Excellent YB Hasnul. We need more righteous leaders like you to stand up for the rakyat.

With your support, Pakatan will be 29 strong. That is two more than Umno + PAS + Independent.

If Shaari also stand with Pakatan, that will make it 30 for Pakatan and 26 for Umno-PAS-Independent.

Anonymous #05023297: To rely on a wafer-thin majority of two PAS assemblypersons is madness. Perak was lost because three jumped over to the other side.

Dissolve the state assembly and call for snap elections. That’s the only way to be really secure. If Pakatan loses then you know what’s to be done in the next GE.

Np: The PAS assembly persons in Selangor deserve our respect, unlike the treacherous Abdul Hadi Awang and the ulama who are already in collaboration with Umno.

These progressive MPs should leave PAS when Hadi and the ulama win the PAS election. Pakatan without PAS would be weakened inevitably, but this would be a good start to a better future.

PAS under Hadi can go and rot together with Umno.

Maplesyrup: In the event that PAS leaves Pakatan, I think these representatives may have to leave PAS too, because if they were to pledge support to PKR/DAP they will be disciplined by PAS.

I think the best way forward is to dissolve the assembly and go for a state election. Let Selangorians decide if we want to vote the same guys in.

Ablastine: There is actually very little to be gained by staying on with PAS when Hadi and his gang take PAS out of Pakatan.

First, it is pretty clear by now that Hadi and minions will never be able to win any seat outside of Kelantan.

So if the Selangor PAS assemblypersons leave Pakatan, they will have at most two to three years to be in their position before the next election comes when they will be soundly kick out.

Not only that, the whole state will curse them for being traitors and that practically will end their political career. Nobody trusts them anymore so they will never win another election.

However, if they stay on with Pakatan, they will be hailed as heroes and wherever they contest in the future they will have a good chance of winning.

BTN: Indeed, it would be best to get PAS out of the coalition and seek a fresh mandate from the Selangor people.

With Hadi and his people, who are so obsessed with Umno until they are unfaithful to the Pakatan cause, it would be best to go separate ways and seek a more reliable partner.

Let PAS sleep with Umno and let the people decide if they want Umno/PAS or PKR/DAP.

1Malaysian: I voted for PAS because I wanted a Pakatan coalition government in Selangor. But if PAS quits, they will lose my vote. I will never vote for Umno. I will never vote for MCA. I will never vote for MIC.

Retnam: Even if Selangor MB Azmin Ali decides to dissolve the assembly, he may not get royal consent, as happened in Perak five years ago.
