Bishop, why waste time on this rabid character?

YOURSAY ‘The shallowness of Ridhuan’s thinking is beyond comprehension.’

Bishop denounces Ridhuan Tee’s ‘harlot’s tongue’

Vijay47: I would not usually comment on statements by this wretched Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, a lost tortured worm struggling with the many demons who have caused him to lose his soul and self-respect in some pitiful effort to gain attention.

His unbelievable torment and confusion over his ethnic origins are for him to come to terms with, not for me to grieve over.

My contempt is for the others, both by the roadside and in high places, who permit and even encourage the likes of this cur to blatantly hawk his sick wares and retain him in government service.

Two recent events took place to further affirm by paradox or perhaps through divine design, the sorry state of affairs Malaysians now labour in. The first is this Ridhuan's statement on dressing and linking objectionable styles to churches and temples.

I cannot actually condemn him for this, bearing in mind the upbringing he never had and the psychological agonies he writhes under; I cannot expect anything even remotely better.

The second event does not enjoy similar charity and forgiveness. I refer to Najib Abdul Razak, the prime minister who appointed yet another member to his troupe to ostensibly administer to national unity, whatever that means.

Of the two, Najib continues to commit the bigger crime and greater sin.

This supposedly educated person believes that number reflects intent and sincerity - another member proves a more honest attempt to bring our races and religions closer.

Don't you know, Najib, that we do not need more ministers of national unity?

All we need to achieve the days of the past is plain simple mutual respect, where excesses like restrictions imposed on non-Muslim places of worship and their practice, the conversion of minors by scoundrels, the demand that non-Muslims adhere to Islamic codes of conduct, and the latest - attributing religious failures by Muslims to dressing by others.

If you still need to be reminded of this, Najib, even a thousand ministers under your personal command would not save you or us.

Myrights: Yes, Ridhuan indeed is licensed by Umno to provoke the non-Muslims over and over again. The prime minister may deny it, the Home Ministry may deny it, the inspector-general of police may deny it, but everyone knows it.

RatBatBlue: Bishop Paul Tan, I wonder why you are wasting your time commenting on such a rabid character. Everybody knows this guy's true intentions.

He apparently fails to realise that even the Malays (whom he loves to no end) are amused with or are annoyed with his character and behaviour.

It’s a wonder why nobody has taken legal action against him for his vile anti-Chinese/non-Muslim stand.

Jesse: Why so much attention to this half-baked academic who seeks attention by making outrageous statements?

NX: Here you have a Christian speaking in a dignified manner and then you have a Chinese convert speaking in a distasteful way.

Is this what his new religion has made him to be after his conversion?

Gggg: Just reading the bishop's comment, it is not hard to tell who is well read, civilised and intellectually superior than those narrow-minded.

Anonymous #83834503: Bishop Paul, Ridhuan Tee is best left alone to wallow in his own perverted mind. The shallowness of his thinking is beyond comprehension.

A professor? He shows no ability to think logically, analytically, and surely suffers from the disability to synthesise, so why waste effort and time with him?

David Dass: Malaysians know how to dress. We do not need security guards to be the guardians of the nation’s modesty.

Most of us know what the appropriate form of dress is for particular occasions. We will dress modestly and conservatively for church or temple.

Ridhuan Tee's remarks are to be disregarded. He shows no respect for a religion other than Islam. Is this his way of trying to win points with the Malay community?

I cannot imagine many Malays supporting him. Malays are generally a polite and tolerant community.

Liew Lean Kut: I can't blame this gentleman; he has to earn his keep. If you want to blame anybody, blame the government, as it is the government that allows his action.

If you want to change him use your one vote to get rid of his master. When there is nobody to back him up, he will shut his mouth. Then we will have some peace.

We Are Concerned: Ridhuan seems to want to portray himself to be holier than whoever is in the Muslim faith. No problem with that but not at the expense of fellow countrymen, whatever their faith. What is his motive?

Ace: Forgive him, Bishop Paul. Every dog has to earn his keep, even the rabid ones.

Those who associate with him, support his ideas and think that he is doing them a favour will one day see through the crap and the stinking verbal diarrhoea that has been spilling out of his mouth and a sense of great embarrassment will surely follow.

ChiakLui-Eh: Bishop, I don't think Ridhuan will understand your intellectual argument.

It’s about appropriate attire, not religion
