An Australian woman pleaded guilty today for stealing almost $A27,000 (US$20,000) from the 103-year-old Perth lady she was employed to care for, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.
Michelle Bronwyn Kotukutuk Stirling was employed by a professional care provider to look after the elderly woman who is blind and partially deaf.
She stole the money by illegally drawing money from the woman’s bank account between December 2012 and January 2015.
Stirling pleaded guilty to one charge of stealing as a servant and was granted bail.
