The deputy prime minister's official webpage has been pulled down even before Muhyiddin Yassin officially vacates the position tomorrow.

A check on the deputy prime minister's official web page this evening, which is hosted on the Prime Minister Office's website, found that its content had been removed.

Instead, a government emblem was displayed with the words 'This website is being updated'.

Prior to the taking down of the site, the deputy prime minister's official webpage carried news about Muhyiddin's government activities.

According to a cached version of the page dated July 26, the last posting was on July 18 about Muhyiddin's Hari Raya open house in Muar which was attended by some 30,000 people.

The deputy prime minister's official webpage also carried Muhyiddin's biography as well as his government speeches.

Others pages as normal

A check on other webpages hosted  on the PMO's website showed them to be functioning as usual.

Muhyiddin was today dropped as deputy prime minister after Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak announced a cabinet reshuffle.

Najib in his announcement, indicated that Muhyiddin was dropped for criticising his handling of the 1MDB issue, adding that such behaviour was against the cabinet's principle of collective responsibility.

Muhyiddin said he accepted the decision with an open heart and stood by his criticism of 1MDB which he said was in the interest of the rakyat.
