Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak will host an Aidilfitri reception for his Pekan parliamentary constituency on Sunday, said a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Najib and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, will play host from 10am to 2pm at the reception at Taman Tasik Sultan Abu Bakar in Pekan, it said.

The prime minister will also entertain about 100 people from the constituency who would be going on the haj, it added.

More than 100 stalls would serve various types of food, such as nasi briyani, daging opor, lemang, nasi dagang, nasi kebuli, kambing bakar, satay and ketupat, said the statement.  

Visitors are advised to park their vehicles at the designated places and adhere to the instructions of the traffic policemen on duty.

In conjunction with the reception, the organisers will hold a large-scale lemang cooking session on Saturday evening.
