Perak Menteri Besar Perak Zambry Abdul Kadir wants the Ipoh City Council (MBI) to investigate and verify a picture of a hawker looking at her wares which were strewn on the road at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB).

He said this was because the person who uploaded the picture claimed that it was the action of MBI officers, who were also in the picture.

“I have received a report on that from MBI, but I have also asked the mayor to investigate and issue a press statement,” he told reporters after a Aidilfitri gathering organised by the Perak Water Board in Ipoh today.

Zambry said he believed the picture was viraled by quarters with vested interests.

Meanwhile, Ipoh Mayor Zamri Man said the picture was spread by quarters with malicious against MBI.

Based on a preliminary report, it was the doing of the hawker herself, he added.

He said there had been numerous complaints from visitors to HRPB of congestion because of traders operating their businesses along the road.
