Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak revealed today that he has pledged to be an organ donor.

"Pledging to be an organ donor can save lives.

"In conjunction with the organ donation awareness week today, I hope more people will join in.

"I have made my pledge, when will you?" Najib said in a Facebook posting.

He also uploaded a photograph of his organ donor card, which carries the 1Malaysia logo.

The card reads: "One Malaysia, one hope, donate organ for life".

The card bears the name of the National Transplant Unit, which is under the Health Ministry.
