DAP, don't lay all the blame at BN's door

YOURSAY | 'If you can't even achieve a consensus in your coalition, how to woo voters?'

DAP risks losing seven seats, says Kit Siang

Halimah J: DAP losing those seats is not because of BN wooing voters with money. It is because of uncertainty within your coalition.

If you all can't even achieve a consensus in your coalition, how do we expect you all to work for the people? Don't always blame others for your own failure. Please look into the mirror sometimes.

Clever voter: Should this be the case, so be it. Opposition leaders do not share common values. Unlike BN, they need a godfather. The opposition has no money to impress. The very least is to walk the values of a united front. Malaysia is dead as long as BN is alive.

Anonymous_1421406986: It is so clear that he is applying reverse psychology on the Chinese community.

He knows that the Chinese are not buying DAP this time around. Adenan Satem has been doing a decent job as the chief minister.

Who would understand the ground sentiments better than Adenan, compared to DAP, which has been playing the race sentiments for far too long, and destroying even other Chinese political parties, and dividing Malaysians. The fools in MCA should have seen the ruse a long time ago.

I sometimes get the feeling that MCA had empowered DAP. PAS and DAP are no different, except one uses religion and the other, race.

Voice: After 60 years, the majority of Sarawakians is still living in poor and backward conditions. If Sarawak is an independent country, coupled with such vast natural resources, Sarawak should be one of the richest countries in Asia.

The roads and highways in Sarawak will be one of the finest in the world. But just look at what they have now under BN. To date they can't even able to get the little 20 percent of their own produced oil revenue, as most have been channelled to develop states in Peninsular Malaysia.

Living 60 years in such poor conditions, they get used to it and issues such as 1MDB, GST and corruption will not have much influence on them.

Caring Citizen: We all know it is an uphill task and I wish DAP and its alliance all the best. We also know that BN leaders will resort to all sorts of ways to buy votes using cash because they have no conscience or ethical values, other than cash.

It is not going to be easy for the voters to choose because, to them, money comes in handy, especially with the rising cost of living since the implementation of GST. The rich will get richer and the poor will continue to suffer.

I have high hopes that there will be changes in Malaysia, to a better future with Pakatan Harapan cleaning up the mess created by the current cabinet, and ministers working towards building the nation, rather than for personal gains.

Headhunter: Money politics still rule the day. Adenan understands this more than anyone. And he has a generous donor and the rich Foochow to back him.

Drngsc: Lim Kit Siang, please take care. Looks like Adenan only wants to leave you all by yourself to campaign on May 5 to 6. He has chased all your team away.

He is really scared. We can see that you are all over Sarawak, working so hard for us. Please take care of your health. God will take care of the cheats.

Bumiputhran: In any civilised country that practices democracy, bribing and giving material gifts as inducement to vote for a particular party is an electoral crime.

In Malaysia, this violation is rampant and both the public and the Election Commission are immune to this criminal-like behaviour. It only means Malaysia is not a civilised country that adheres to its own laws. It is, morally and legally, a defunct state.

Nil: Politics is a dirty game. To win, you need to get dirty. At least, you create a more level playing field.

Worried Sick: I feel so sorry for Kit Siang, but then DAP's and PKR's strategy was all wrong. Stubbornness, egoism and certainly greediness, are the hallmarks of today's opposition leaders like Azmin Ali and Lim Guan Eng.

So, reap what you have sown. Don't blame Adenan for your failures in leadership.

Spirit of Malaya: Pakatan Harapan lost it once they started arguing for seats, and went against each other. Be warned, we, who voted for you in the last election, are watching.
