Zaid Ibrahim has suggested that Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman Said be given a new name.

In a Twitter posting this morning, the former law minister suggested that she be renamed "Ms sub judice".

He was responding to Azalina once again citing sub judice with regard to posers in Parliament on the deposits in Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's bank accounts.

She mentioned this in a written parliamentary reply to opposition lawmakers Dr Ko Chung Sen (DAP-Kampar) and Mahfuz Omar (PAS-Pokok Sena).

Ko had asked if Najib knew about the money which went into his bank accounts and on the need to inform Bank Negara to ensure there were no elements of money laundering, misappropriation and corruption.

Meanwhile, Zaid said the prime minister could not find a better loyalist than Azalina, whom he claimed was on par with Communication and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak and BN strategic communication director Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

However, he said their efforts would soon be rendered irrelevant.

"But it will all be in vain, (Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad) Zahidi Hamidi will take over soon enough," he said, without elaborating.

Ironically, more than a decade ago, Azalina had formed a partnership with the law firm Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co, which was owned by the former minister.

The Pengerang MP's political fortune brightened when she was roped into the cabinet by Najib during the last July reshuffle which also witnessed the axing of Muhyiddin Yassin as deputy prime minister.

Prior to that, Azalina's last cabinet position was tourism minister from 2008 to 2009.

In March, Azalina had said that questions on the RM2.6 billion political donation can no longer be raised in Parliament.

She said this is because such discussions are sub judice due to the Malaysian Bar's application for a judicial review against attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali's decision to clear the prime minister of any wrongdoing.
