Traffic heading out of capital under control

Traffic on several major highways was under control as of 12 noon today, although there were many cars reported to be heading out of the capital today.

A Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesperson when contacted by Bernama said traffic was slightly congested at the Gombak and Karak toll plazas heading to the East Coast.

“Traffic on the East Coast Highway (LPT) 1 and 2 are also under control without any issues in both directions,” she said.

A spokesperson from the Plus Expressways Bhd traffic control centre also informed that the traffic flow on the North-South Expressway (Plus) towards the north was under control, but moving slowly in certain areas.

“Traffic flow is slow from Tapah to Gopeng and Jelapang to the Menora Tunnel due to heavy traffic,” he said.

Traffic from Jalan Duta towards Sungai Buloh and Rawang was reported to be under control as of noon, he said, adding that traffic from the capital towards Seremban was also under control despite the increase in the number of vehicles on the road.
