An act that could even rival Comical Ali’s

YOURSAY | ‘Of course, we are not jumping to conclusions, but you cannot ignore the facts.’

Minister: Don't rush to judgment on 1MDB crackdown in US

SusahKes: It looks like the scriptwriters are really running out of ideas to prop up the "moderate" image of Malaysian Official No 1.

The DOJ has already applied for forfeiture of assets, but Communication and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak still has temerity to advise the public, "Don't rush to judgement"?

Just how much longer do you expect to humour us with your juvenile-level intellect? What is there to rush into? The judgement has already been passed. And it will not stop there.

The US attorney-general has clearly indicated that, this is but the beginning. By the time you and your sycophantic team come up with the next explanation (or God forbid - another red herring distraction), we expect arrests and further indictments to be made.

I doubt there will be any more golf games with US President Barack Obama. And the more you defend the indefensible, the more you are part of the house of lies that has made up 1MDB.

Gerard Lourdesamy: What rush to judgement? The evidence is overwhelming and the chickens have indeed come home to roost.

BN was quick to pass judgement on opposition leaders Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Guan Eng. So why shouldn't the rakyat return the compliment?

Ministers Salleh Said Keruak and Abdul Rahman Dahlan should be looking after their poor constituents in Sabah who are wallowing in poverty despite decades of Umno rule while the Umno leadership leads a life of dissolute luxury and excess.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has proven that the Malaysian investigations were compromised from day one because the sole aim was to allegedly protect PM Najib Razak.

The attorney-general (AG) and police were complicit in this. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and Bank Negara were victims of a conspiracy at the highest levels of power to pervert the course of justice.

Najib should resign or be sacked by the Agong. The media cover-up here was equally disgraceful.

We all know who ‘Malaysian Official 1’ is and the inspector-general of police (IGP) and ministers should stop threatening the rakyat in their attempt to hide the truth.

Asitis: Salleh, do you notice that all the people who you claimed to have cleared Najib of wrongdoing are his own people, appointed directly or indirectly by him?

You, Salleh, are also appointed by Najib. On the other hand, all those damning reports and allegations against Najib come from independent investigation carried out by those who are not beholden to him.

When all the facts are laid on the table, those with eyes to see and are not biased can tell for themselves who is right and who is wrong.

Oscar Kilo: Of course, we are not jumping to conclusions, but you cannot ignore the fact that you denied any wrongdoing in 1MDB, whereas the US authorities are actively investigating and have just filed a lawsuit to recover assets acquired with stolen 1MDB money.

Anonymous 1890491455255851: My goodness. Seriously? For Salleh's information, most of us already knew this whole 1MDB issue was an act of theft before the DOJ provided further evidence of it.

Are you blind, deaf and dumb, Salleh? Instead of being outraged by the crime that has been committed here, you talk about not rushing to judgement and calling this a politically motivated act.

Odin Tajué: Salleh, the findings of the court of public opinion are material in this case, and that court has found long before this, and after scrutinising mountains of circumstantial evidence, that Najib and his co-conspirators are guilty of misappropriating vast sums of money directly from 1MDB and SRC International, and indirectly from Malaysians.

Your regurgitation now is not just totally worthless, but it is also disgustingly irritating. You are completely unable to cover up the wrongdoings of the culprits simply because they are plainer than daylight.

Cogito Ergo Sum: In the face of the evidence that the US AG has filed in court, you still claim that "1MDB has been the victim of an unprecedented politically-motivated attack"?

The DOJ will be very, very cautious when it comes to preferring charges, especially against a 'friendly' nation. Unlike our set of rules where charges are made at the mere whims of politicians, they spent a year probing.

You and your entire regime have used all sorts of laws to suppress Malaysians and the truth, including investigating online media for calling your bluff.

It’s too late now. You make 'Comical Ali' look like a sage by your antics.

Hplooi: When sanity finally comes to Malaysia we will probably have a truth and reconciliation committee to call all to account and hopefully learn to avoid such mis-governance in future.

However, for certain people they should not be allowed amnesty under said committee. In his case, Malaysians should demand their pound of flesh in full... and we will not mind the bleeding.

Vijay47: As I am not at all familiar with international medico-geo-politics, I hope somebody can advise me on three issues.

First, why has Salleh stopped taking his pills? Second, is Najib still considering having the general elections soon? Third, do the recent developments in the US mean that Najib will not be playing golf any more with Obama?
