A mechanic was charged in the Magistrate’s Court in Kuala Lumpur today with the murder of Noor Amila Edrus Norsyam, whose body was found in undergrowth at Kampung Kemensah, Hulu Kelang last Thursday.

No plea was recorded from Norhamid Nor Muhamad, 26, who faces the mandatory death sentence if convicted, under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The accused allegedly murdered the five-year-old boy at an unnumbered auto workshop in a public housing area at Blok C, Lorong 5/16C, Jinjang Utara, Sentul in Kuala Lumpur at 5.30am on Aug 12.

Magistrate Zuhair Rosli set Oct 25 for re-mention. The case was conducted by prosecuting officer ASP Muhamad Sapri Yaakub while the accused, who is the deceased’s stepbrother, was unrepresented.
