Man who claimed to be 'Jesus Christ' nabbed

A man who claimed to be Nabi Isa (Jesus Christ) was arrested by police in Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur yesterday after threatening to kill some of the country's leaders, reports Bernama.

This was confirmed by Wangsa Maju police chief Supt Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif today.

He said the suspect was handed over to the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) for further investigation.

“After Jawi has investigated him, police will be investigating the suspect under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation," he said.

Malay daily Utusan Malaysia reported that during the incident at 4.30pm, the 43-year-old man along with his wife and child was stopped by police while driving in a Kia Sportage with a dubious plate number, the vehicle was later found to be a car with a cloned registration.

The plate number which caused police to pulled him over was "‘WWE 3621 KERAJAAN EMPAYAR LANGKASUKA NUSANTARA TUANKU RAJA MERONGMAHAWANGSA II SULTAN KEDAH ASAL IMAM ALMAHDI".
