Red shirts want post-rally crackdown

Some 2,000 people hit the streets of Kuala Lumpur for the TangkapMO1 rally.

Police described the rally as “illegal”, but said no arrests were made.

The red shirts movement threatened to demonstrate outside the Dang Wangi district police headquarters if the police did not arrest the organisers of the TangkapMO1 rally.

Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed said the government was not against rallies if they followed the law.

KJ silent on royal information

The director of a book publishing company was remanded as part of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) investigation into the misappropriation of RM15 million.

A senior KL City Hall DBKL officer, said to own 31 condominiums through corrupt means, was released after a 12-day remand.

In another development, Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin kept mum when quizzed about the contents of a pendrive handed to him by Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
