People in Tampin and Jempol can expect water disruption today following shortage of raw water supply at the Gemas Baru Water Treatment Plant in Tampin, according to Syarikat Air Negri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (Sains).

Its head of public relations, Norzita Ismail, said today the affected areas included Gemas, Bukit Jalur, Air Kuning, Sungai Dua, Syed Sirajuddin Camp Gemas and Felda Palong 2 to 16.

It was not known when supply would be restored, she said in a statement.

Norzita said Sains apologised for the inconvenience caused to the consumers and added that water tankers and static water tanks would be made available for the benefit of consumers.

She said consumers who needed assistance could contact Sains via the toll-free line at 1-800-88-6982 or send an email to [email protected].
