M’sians share Setev’s grief over loss of his daughter

YOURSAY | ‘Altantuya's memories will always remain close to our hearts.’

A decade later, still no funeral for Altantuya

Trueglitter: The apparent heart-wrenching misery which any father would unfortunately be made to suffer at the sad loss of a daughter, tragically murdered at the alleged orders of a vicious and unknown hand, is painfully etched into the sad and weathered countenance of Dr Setev Shaariibuu at his personal and tragic loss of his daughter, Altantuya, who was undeservedly murdered and her body blown into unrecognisable smithereens by military-grade explosives.

Setev's loud and piteous cries of appeals for justice to be carried out to expose the perpetrator, however untouchable or politically powerful he may be, should lawfully be exposed and subsequently charged for his outrageous guilt which inevitably, has stirred the conscience of the international community to react negatively towards our once highly regarded Malaysian judiciary system.

Clearly, only a change in governments after the imminent general elections will we be able to redeem our respect and dignity.

Legit: This nation is cursed because of the alleged grand thief and the band of murderers. All those responsible for this horrible crime should be made to pay.

Yes, as some have said here, there are millions of good and caring Malaysians who are willing to donate to Setev's family which will especially help Altantuya's children.

Pakatan Harapan should start a fund where the good people of Malaysia can donate. This is a small way to lessen the terrible curse on the nation.

HaveAGreatDay: Dr Setev, reading the suffering you and your family went through as a result of Altantuya's murder, I can only sympathise with you, and pray that you will get justice for your daughter, no matter how long it may take.

FellowMalaysian: I grief with Setev over the tragic loss of his daughter, and the pain and anguish over the past 10 years since her life was brutally snuffed away in the forests in Shah Alam.

At the same instance, I am also angry, appalled and resentful over the total lack of responsibility and concern and a dearth of any feeling of dignity, compassion or even humanity shown by our government and the authorities in Bolehland towards Altantuya's tragic death.

I have not heard of Setev making a single mention of receiving any compassionate or regretful statements made by any ministries from Bolehland.

We share your grief and sorrow, Setev. Altantuya's memories will always remain close to our hearts.

CQ Muar: Shame, shame, shame - that's how Malaysians should feel after reading, for the first time, a vivid account into the life and death of Altantuya.

Up till now, many were ignorant of her youth, and how brilliant and talented she was, until her life was snuffed out by those devious, senseless, murderous and merciless Malaysians.

Beyond a shadow of doubt, many of us can only sympathise with Setev for his loss. Only those who felt her end was justified and necessary, for confronting them allegedly over her share of commissions promised to her in the French Scorpene submarine deal, were the perpetrators.

Ten years into this gory murder, and those responsible in the high-profile conspiracy are still roaming free without any guilt or remorse.

Are we, as Malaysians, so irresponsible and devoid of the milk of human kindness? Pray, do wake up, and show that we are a caring and just society against such inhumane violence.

The time is nigh for us to support the justice Altantuya's father is crying out for.

Fairplayer: Setev, you are very magnanimous! I pray that justice will prevail very soon for Altantuya, and for you and your family.

Sirul and Azilah should apologise to Setev for killing his daughter so mercilessly, and to quickly spill the beans so that justice prevails and they can rest in peace before killers are assigned to take their lives and all evidence wiped out.

Anonymous 568201438363345: The whole world knows there is an extremely powerful force behind the murder.

You don't need rocket science to know who are the possible culprits. Malaysia is in its darkest moment in history. The world has even acknowledged that Malaysia is now the champion in corruption.

By the way, Pakatan should start a donation drive for Setev. Show him that not all Malaysians are useless and corrupt beyond logic.

Hang Jebat: I agree with Anonymous 568201438363345. Start an Altantuya fund. Many will donate.

It is not the money that counts but sympathy and goodwill from the better Malaysians and other world citizens.

Worldly Wise: The Altantuya trial was marked by a change of High Court judge, and the finding of guilt of murder without establishing a motive for the murder.

The one who is really guilty may probably be still at large.

Shibboleth: Setev, our condolences. There is a time and purpose for everything. And, most Malaysians are waiting for the sword of justice to fall on the culprits. Be patient. It will come.
