Johor prince accuses Umno man of abusing position

Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim accused Umno information chief Annuar Musa of using his position to "force" Mara and UniKL to sponsor the Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) which he formerly led.

Annuar insisted that not a sen of Mara funds went to Kafa. He also said Mara-owned UniKL was a private company that did not provide scholarships, therefore claims that sponsorship came at the expense of scholarships was not an issue.

Meanwhile, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Youth chief Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman lodged a police report against Annuar over the alleged abuse.

A 19-year old who was sentenced to two years' detention at a correctional institute for insulting the Johor crown prince failed in his bid at the Court of Appeal to reduce his sentence.

Jho Low used alias 'Eric Tan' for banking

Billionaire Jho Low, a central figure in the 1MDB scandal, used "Eric Tan" as an alias for opening bank accounts and companies, the Singapore Court heard.
