Bersih advocacy officer Zoe Randhawa yesterday withdrew her court application against the Election Commission after the EC relented to hold a local inquiry over objections in the redelineation of the Segambut constituency.
Bersih said Randhawa was initially told the EC would not hold an inquiry for Segambut, even though the condition of at least 100 objections filed was met.
However, the EC relented through a notice sent on Thursday, the day before the court was scheduled to hear Randhawa's leave application to challenge the EC's failure to hold the inquiry on the redelineation.
