DAP today hit out at PAS Ulama information chief Khairuddin Aman Razali for "distorting facts" when he accused its party supremo Lim Kit Siang of confusing consensus with majority rules during their time as allies in the now defunct Pakatan
Rakyat.

Khairuddin was defending PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang from accusations that it was the Islamic party that broke consensus and triggered the dissolution of the coalition.

"He (Khairuddin) said, only matters unanimously agreed upon by all parties could be treated as Pakatan Rakyat agenda. A fact that none of us dispute.

"He further accused DAP and PKR for breaking up due to the two parties’ failures to adhere to the consensus principle. He is free to assert his theory, however false and inaccurate that maybe according to facts.
