Marcus, it’s wrong to accept allegedly stolen money

YOURSAY | ‘The RM1m received by your party from Najib could be stolen funds…’

Upko: Normal to receive funds from BN chief for public programmes

Kim Quek: United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko) vice-president Marcus Mojigo, the RM1 million received by your party from PM Najib Razak could be stolen funds - money allegedly from the Finance Ministry.

So, both the giver (who allegedly stole the money) and recipients (who received the alleged stolen money) must answer for this suspected serious crime.

Marcus, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission is already in possession of the details of all these transactions, and you may be called to answer questions if MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad really means what he says - that he will go after the corrupt without fear or favour.

Anonymous 2436471476414726: Marcus, surely you are aware that Najib has admitted he received the RM2.6 billion as well as RM42 million in separate transactions in his personal bank accounts.

Evidence in the form of money trail have shown that the former were funds allegedly from 1MDB and the latter originated from SRC International.

So Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli is right to bring the matter up again and again. This is not casting a bad light on the PM.

Korkor: "Tell Rafizi to voice out the needs of his constituents in Pandan. He has failed miserably as the MP for Pandan. He should focus on helping his constituency,” said Marcus.

I am a Pandan voter and I voted for Rafizi not to serve Pandan voters only. We want him to serve Malaysians at large.

Clever Voter: The majority of MPs lack the refinement and class to respond to questions when under pressure. It would be fair to say they are also proxies for their bosses. This explains their emotional response.

The trouble with these MPs is they don't care where the money comes from. Probably they only want to know what's their share, and pray no one will ever find out.

Anonymous 1230461438193244: "Don't tell me the opposition parties do not receive donations from supporters?" Marcus said.

Nobody is denying that, but the one big difference is the funds received by the opposition are clean and the money is donated by the willing public and not allegedly stolen funds.

Bert: Yes, Marcus, it is normal for BN parties to receive funds from the coalition's chairperson to organise programmes for the people. But the question is, where did the money come from?

Godfearing: Marcus, it's morally and legally wrong to accept stolen money. Period.

'Money from Najib': Penang Umno laughs at Rafizi's allegation

Mushiro: What does Penang opposition leader and Umno assemblyperson Jahara Hamid mean by "Not that we know of" (when quizzed on Rafizi's claim that Penang Umno received RM1 million on July 24, 2014, and Feb 26, 2015, each respectively)?

Does she mean that there is a possibility that the money went into Umno Penang's account and she is not aware of it and the money has since been spent?

Like how attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali claimed that Najib was not aware that the SRC money was banked into his account, and thus it was not a crime when Najib spent that money.

Jahara has to be specific and clear that Umno Penang did not receive the money - there is no point laughing at Rafizi or beating about the bush.

Democrat: "This is party work, you know? We paid party membership and Umno just gives us back to run the party's work," said Jahara.

Money from the president's personal account? You pay to the party account and the president returns the money to you from his own bank account?

Are you stupid or am I stupid?

Wira: Jahara, is it possible that the money meant for you went to Johor Bahru instead? After all, an honest MP there admitted that he was given RM1 million.

How come he gave to JB but not Penang Umno? Are you people not important enough?

Rafizi claims Umno, BN got 'RM10.02m SRC money' from Najib

Kangkung: Malaysian Official 1 (MO1) can literally do anything as he knows no one can touch him.

He had successfully channelled RM2.6 billion into his personal accounts, so handing out RM10.02 million of that to Umno parties must be like child's play.

Anonymous #37634848: The SRC money is allegedly from the KWAP retirement fund (government servants pension fund). Part of it dissolved in the coal fields of Mongolia.

About RM74 million apparently ended up in Najib’s bank account. The AG had accounted for RM34 million.

My heart bleeds as Muslims are involved in this alleged embezzlement. If they fear God, they must admit and repent.

The law must take its course and mete out exemplary punishment so that others will not attempt such alleged fraud.

Mushiro: Najib is believed to have received up to RM74 million from SRC in 2014 and he gave away RM10.02 million to Umno and BN - what happened to the rest?

SRC, with all its liabilities, is taken over by the Finance Ministry, which means it is the taxpayers who will be paying for all the alleged corruption by Najib and his team.

And if this news is not true, why did the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) block the website sprminsider.blogspot.com?

Fairplayer: And yet the new MACC chief had the cheek to congratulate Umno? Sack him.
