MPs' apology leaves much to be desired

A proper apology should, at the very least, sound sincere. What was delivered is no better that an barely audible, uttered 'Sorry', reluctantly mumbled by a little boy in a playground, after bullying some smaller defenceless child.

On Suhakam blasts sexist MPs

CT Lim: We know few politicians are gentlemen, almost by definition. Is it too much to hope they may behave like gentlemen?

A proper apology should, at the very least, sound sincere. What was delivered is no better that an barely audible, uttered 'Sorry', reluctantly mumbled by a little boy in a playground, after bullying some smaller defenceless child.

The uttered apology coming only after some threat of punishment from his/her parents. We have all seen it before, done it before, recognise it as a childish response. How sad that our country's leaders (yes, they are our leaders vomit, vomit) see it fit to continue in this juvenile way. Shame on them.

Sri Siva: Dear Bung Mokthar and Said Yusof, I will not address you by your titles as they are meant to be honorific titles.

Apparently, sometimes it takes an eye for an eye to realise the mistakes you clowns made. Let me ask you this and after my question, I would like to quickly apologise for it - would you be not be angry if someone posed the same question to your wives?

My question posed is in jest (as defended by Najib) and if it offends you, I would like to perhaps retract the question or quite possibly even apologise for it (without any pressure).

Our sleepy prime minister as usual will not take any actions against these clowns. What can you expect from a racist, sexist, corrupt and poor performing government. Folks, why do we still put up with these clowns?

Time to vote for DAP, PKR and PAS. We have a democracy in place but yet we have failed to exercise it.

TJ: Here , a blogger has made some unflattering comments about the Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife Datin Rosmah. Since the DPM makes light of the the obscene remarks made by the two odious monkey-brained MP's against Ms Fong Po Kuan, we are sure that he will accept the blogger's opinions in jest as well.

Andrew: I would like to air my bit on our two buffoons if I may. It shows the class and the mentality of our elected reps. The speaker managed to drop the issue like a hot potato after searching for a technicality.

The PM conveniently 'hears no evil, sees no evil'. The women's minister is happy with a 'closure'. So tell me what else is new. After all the fuss we are back to square one. A very unique Malaysian solution. God helps us all.

PP: I can assure that the government will not take further or drastic actions against these two. Despite the fact that the damage done to the BN government is really bad and the BN government will lose a lot of votes because of this issue.

Why this doe will escape is because when you let out two worms, it will open up some other big can of worms and if that happens, many giant-sized worm cans will eventually crawl out.

Many big names will appear. In the past, there above been countless fiascoes involving big names. What happened to them? The have been totally forgotten. The behaviour and mindset of these two infamous MPs are just 'very tiny symptoms surfacing from a decaying system.

SK 11: I refer to the explanation for the 'reluctant apologies' by these two guys. They say they were defending the BN and its leader.

I say, Pak Lah, I am sure you have better guys to defend you than these two 'mouth leaking' political monkeys. Now the whole world is laughing at us. How unfair just because I am a Malaysian.

Now, I hope no pea-brained ministers or political monkeys will become so sensitive to tell us not to even mention the word 'bocor' because it symbolises Malaysia. If BN continues to bring in these type of 'bocor' people into their fold, it shows they don't have much talent in their team. I think this is the beginning of their end.

On The buck stops with Samy - quit now

KSN: Samy Vellu should have quit or better still, been sacked, a long time ago. Not because the Parliament building leaks. That is a simple issue which can be debated for or against Samy. He should have been sacked for the injustice he has inflicted on the Indian community he shamelessly claims to represent.

I do not have to go into details about this aspect as it history. Regarding the leaking Parliament, who is responsible for the maintenance and inspection of the premises within the Parliament administration?

Does this person responsible not see the problem as he goes around spotting leaks, cracks, water not draining, etc, etc? If he saw, did he do anything about taking remedial action either through the PWD or outside contractors? Who is the No 1 person responsible for the Parliament building?

Establish that. We have no maintenance and enforcement mentality. Take any area of public life - cleanliness, rubbish collection and disposal, drainage, upkeep of drains, traffic congestion, river pollution, the list can be very long.

Every institution of both the state and federal governments are guilty of negligence in not enforcing and maintaining. It is a very simple matter, really. We do not need foreign experts to study and advice. Common sense is enough.

Dhammika: It is not easy to remove the hardcore minister. Tun Mahathir couldn't remove Samy. Look around and you can find more incapable ministers - all talk and no action. Half past six fellas.

If TDM cannot remove him, do you think that the passive AAB can do that? Remember nitrogen is inert and so is our PM. The whole bunch of these henchmen can only be overthrown by the people's power.

The whole world is laughing at us. I hope that the rakyat will wake up and force them out through the ballot box. What Karpal Singh is advocating is very impossible because these ministers know fully well that the PM cannot remove them.

On MIC, IPF: After 18 years, how are members going to patch up?

Veloo: I believe Pandithan has made the right move as he does not have the energy and strength to lead the party anymore - his ailing health does not permit to do so.

I do agree Samy Vellu has done a lot for the Indians though I concur with RJ - he is hardworking as a labourer and not performing the managerial duties as he supposedly be doing. Sorry Sam.
