  2. How do I subscribe to Malaysiakini?
    Click here to start immediately. For a detailed step by step guide:.
    1. Login to www.malaysiakini.com and click on 'subscribe now'.
    2. Click on the package that you want.
    3. Please enter a valid email address. Click "go".
    4. Once the subscription form opens up, please fill in all your details. Username & password should be in lowercase letters and no symbols allowed.
    5. Upon submitting the form, you will need to activate your account with the provided 4 digit code.


  3. Why do you ask for valid email address?
    All subscription notifications and reminders are sent to the valid email provided. Without a valid email, Malaysiakini will not be able to communicate with you.


  4. Who is Manage4me?
    Manage4me.com is owned by Manage4me Sdn Bhd, a fully owned subsidiary of Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd. All Malaysiakini's payment services are provided by this subsidiary.


  5. Why should I register a username?
    Usernames are needed to allow one to login into Malaysiakini to read the contents. Click here to register.


  6. What is an activation code?
    An activation code is a 4 digit code that is provided to you for verification and activation once your account had been created. It is also sent to your email.


  7. I can't retrieve my activation code. What do I do?
    Activation code is provided to you after account registration. It is sent to your email from . Please make sure that is in your address book. This should prevent the email from being treated as spam. Nevertheless, the email sometime ends up in the bulk or spam folder. You can check that folder or call Malaysiakini at 03 2284 3367 ext 102 or 105 for the activation to be done manually.

  10. How do I upgrade my subscription account?
    You can upgrade your subscription from standard to premium anytime. All you have to do is pay us the difference in amount and we will upgrade your account. Then give us a call from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm or sms 017 323 0707 after office hour and we will help you. Alternatively you can email us at


  11. What is the difference between standard and premium subscription?
    Standard subscription allows you to read news up to 30 days old, while premium subscription allows you to access the archives to read news since year 2000.

  1. How can I make payment to Malaysiakini?
    Our online modes of payments are through Credit Card (MASTERCARD, VISA & Amex), Maybank2u (Open payment & closed payment), CIMBClicks, EON Bank, Mobile money, MEPS Cash and GIRO.

    Other modes of payments are MOTO (MASTERCARD & VISA only), cheque, postal or money order and cash. Click here to view all our modes of payments.

  2. How do I check my account or billing details
    You can check your account or billing details at www.manage4me.com. Sign in with your malaysiakini login details and click on "Bill".


  3. What is bill id?
    Bill id is a numerical identification number similar to a billing number which it generated after you place an order and ready to make payment.


  4. What is user id?
    User id is a unique numerical identification given to each subscriber in our database which it generated once you have register.


  5. What is the difference between username and user id?
    The username is given by the user when sing up an account, to be used to login into Malaysiakini. The user id is a unique numerical identification for the subscriber, given by the system once your account created successfully.

(I) Credit Card,
  1. How do I make credit card payments?
    There are 3 ways to make credit card payments – online method, offline method and recurring method


  2. What is offline method?
    Offline payment method refers to payments that require manual processing. This payment method is recommended for customers who are uncomfortable submitting a credit card number online. Our offline credit card methods are MOTO and Recurring Credit Card payment solutions.


  3. What is MOTO credit card payment?
    MOTO ( Mobile Order Telephone Order ) is like any usual credit card terminal but only made for number insertion. The terminal is directly connected to Alliance Bank via normal telephone line and has a 99% success rate in credit card payment. Only MASTERCARD & VISA cards are accepted.


  4. How do I make a credit card payment through MOTO?
    You can make a payment through MOTO by providing to us with the following details: Credit card number, Card expiry date, CVV2 code. Transaction is immediate and has a 99% success rate.


  5. How do I make an online credit card payment?

    1. To make payment through credit card, login to www.manage4me.com

    2. Click on Premium Services and click on Malaysiakini.com.

    3. Choose your preferred package and click Add to basket.

    4. Click Make Payment button after confirming the package and the amount. Click Empty Basket button to clear all item in shopping cart or Continue Shopping button to add more packages.

    5. ** Please note that there are TWO online payment gateway options:
      i) Telemoney (Mastercard, VISA & AMEX)
      ii) NBePay (Mastercard & VISA) **


    6. Select Credit Card - NBePay OR Credit Card - Telemoney as payment method from the drop down menu and click Continue button.

    7. If you don't see a pop up window, click on the link that labeled "Click here if the pop up window does not appear".

    8. Fill in your credit card number, expiry date and last 3 digits of your CVV2 code and click Submit button.

    9. Your transaction is successful when the Telemoney successful electronic payment page pops up.

    10. Print transaction receipt for future reference.

  6. How do I know if my credit card is authorized for online transactions?
    You can call the bank to find out if your credit card is authorized for online transactions. Here is a list of bank phone numbers.


  7. Why am I asked for authentication details for credit card transaction?
    This is for increased security and to prevent fraudulent transactions.


  8. My credit card transaction does not go through. Why?
    There can be various reasons for this:
    1. Make sure that your credit card is authorized for online transactions. You can call your bank to confirm this. Here is a list of bank phone numbers.
    2. Please allow pop ups to appear
    3. Make sure that the credit card details are entered correctly
    4. Malaysiakini can make the credit card payment for you. You will need to call us and give your credit card details over the phone.


  9. I have accidentally paid twice. What do I do?
    You can contact the subscription department to make a reversal.
    From Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm at 03 2284 3367 ext 102 or 105. For after hours assistance, kindly sms 017 323 0707. Alternatively you can email us at


  10. Why can't I use Firefox to pay for my credit card?
    Mozilla by default does not allow online transactions for credit cards for security reasons. You need configure Firefox to enable it manually.


  11. What is a CVV2 code?
    CVV is an anti-fraud security feature to help verify that you are in possession of your credit card. For Visa/Mastercard, the three-digit CVV number is printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately after the card's account number. For American Express, the four-digit CVV number is printed on the front of the card above the card account number.


  12. What is the recurring credit card payment method?
    The recurring credit card payment solution is an offline processed by the merchant bank. It is an auto renewal method for periods of 1 month, 6 months and 1 year. It is open to all Malaysiakini subscribers and is recommended for subscribers residing outside of Malaysia.


  13. How do I sign up for the recurring credit card payment method?
    You have to fill an agreement form to apply for this service. Click here to download the form. Upon receipt of your form, we will add 1 week complimentary whilst the bank processes your application.


  14. Why do I need to fill the agreement form?
    The application form is required by the bank as a written permission from subscribers before the merchant back can proceed to charge credit cards.


  15. Will I be charged for signing up under the recurring credit card method?
    No, no extra fee is charged for this.



  16. Where do I send the recurring credit card application form?
    You can download the form here. After that fax the agreement form to 03 2289 2579 and mail us the original to:

  1. How do I make payment through cheque?
    You can make the cheque payable to:

    Please write your username, bill Id and telephone number at the back of the cheque. Please give 7-10 days for the cheque to be received and payment updated.



  2. Can I bank in a cheque into your account?
    Yes you can. You can bank it into our Maybank account no 5141 7820 4585. Write your username, bill Id and telephone number at the back of the deposit slip and fax it to us for reference and verification. Our fax no is 03-2289 2579.

  1. How do I make payment with maybank2u.com?
    You can either do it at Maybank2u.com by select Corporation Name as Malaysiakini.com ( Open Payment ) or at Manage4me.com to select Maybank2u as payment method ( Closed Payment )


  2. How do I make an open payment with maybank2u.com?

    Please be informed that all maybank2u.com transactions require a TAC number.
    1. Login into maybank2u.com with your maybank login username and password.
    2. Click on "Online Bill Payment" (on the left side of the page) and click on "Open Payment".
    3. Under Payee category, select "Retail & Shopping" and click Next button.
    4. Select Malaysiakini.com as Corporation Name and click Next button.
    5. Enter the amount.
    6. Fill in your malaysiakini bill Id or username at the reference column (this is for easier subscription update) - click Next button.
    7. Print out the transaction report for future reference.
    Kindly note that open payments are updated the next working day.

  3. How do I make an close payment with maybank2u.com?
    1. Login into www.manage4me.com.
    2. Under Premium Services, choose Malaysiakini.com
    3. Click Add to basket button on your preferred package.
    4. Confirm the items in the basket and click on Make payment button.
    5. At the bill detail page, select Maybank2u as payment method from the drop down menu.
    6. If you don't see a pop up window, click on the link that labeled "Click here if the pop up window does not appear".
    7. Login into Maybank2u.com on the pop up window.
    8. Check the amount confirm the transaction.
    9. Print the transaction report for future reference.


  4. What is a TAC number and why do I need a TAC number for all my maybank2u.com transactions?
    The Transaction Authorization Code ( TAC ) is a unique 6-digit code sent to you mobile. It is computer-generated and is a compulsory requirement for specific online transactions for added precaution. Click here for more information on TAC.


  5. When making payments via Maybank2u (Open Payment), what do I fill in at the reference column?
    You may enter bill Id ( you can get it after you place an order ) or your username at the reference column. This is for easier subscription update.


  6. What is the difference between maybank2u.com open payment and closed payments?
    Open payment: a payment is made when login into www.maybank2u.com, selects Open Payment and selects payment to Malaysiakini.com (listed under Retail and Shopping).
    Closed payment: a payment is made through Manage4me.com. Closed payments are updated immediately while Open Payments are updated the next working day.


  7. I have paid/renewed my subscription through maybank2u.com. Why is my payment not updated?
    Open payments made through maybank2u.com are only updated the next working day.


  8. Can I deposit my subscription fee in your bank account?
    Yes, you can. You can walk into any Maybank branch and deposit the money in the following account. MKINI DOTCOM SDN BHD, Account number is 5141 7820 4585. This can only be done by the bank teller. Currently, it cannot be done at the ATM machine or the Cash Deposit Machine.

    You can also deposit a cheque to MKINI DOTCOM SDN BHD at cheque deposit Machine. Please write bill Id your username on the deposit slip and fax us the slip at 03-22892579 for verification.


  9. What merchant name will appear on my credit card or bank statement?
    Manage4me is the merchant name that will appear on your credit card or bank statement.


  10. If my computer crashes or I get disconnected from the Internet by accident, how will I know if my transaction is successful?
    You can contact Malaysiakini from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm at 03 2284 3367 ext 102 or 105. For after hours assistance, kindly sms 017 323 0707. Alternatively you can email us at . Or you can check your payment status by login into your account in www.manage4me.com.

(IV) CIMBClicks

How do I make a payment with CIMBClicks (Open Payment)?
  1. After you have created your Internet Banking e-PIN at any CIMB Bank ATM, log on to www.cimbclicks.com.my and click at "First Time Login".

  2. If you are a CIMB Clicks user, you can login with your Username and Password, or else you need to complete the registration form before you can proceed further .
  3. After you have successfully login to CIMB Clicks, click at “Pay Bills”.

  4. Select "Malaysiakini" in "Payee List".

  5. In order to key in the "Username" in CIMB Clicks, you need to register as a Manage4me member to get the Username. Click here to sign up for Manage4me.

  6. You can get the "Package ID" when you login to www.manage4me.com and click at the Malaysiakini icon.

  7. After you have confirmed all the details key-in and click "Submit" button, you need a TAC code to complete the transaction. Click at "Click Here if you have not requested for TAC". Key in the TAC (received via SMS) code and click "Confirm".

  8. Finally, you will come to a page where it shows payment successful. Print out the transaction receipt for your perusal. You will be able to login to Malaysiakini in next working day.

(V) EON Bank

How do I make a payment with EON Bank (Open Payment)?
  1. Kindly login to www.eonbank.com.my

  2. Click on the "Customer Login", on the left side of the page.

  3. Type in your Eon Bank User Id and password. Click "Login".

  4. On the left side of the page, click "Bill Payment".

  5. From the drop down menu, click "Pay Bills".

  6. Choose Malaysiakini from the Biller list.

  7. Type in the amount and your malaysiakini username in the reference column.

  8. Request TAC and key in the TAC upon receiving it.

  9. Kindly print the confirmation page for future references.

(VI) Mobile Money

How do I make a payment with Mobile Money?
  1. Login into www.manage4me.com with your malaysiakini username and password.

  2. Under Premium services, choose malaysiakini.com.

  3. Click on your preferred package and add to basket.

  4. Confirm the items in the basket and click on "Make Payment".

  5. At the bill detail page, select Mobile Money from the drop down menu.

  6. Key in your mobile number and last 4 digits of your identification card number (I.C.)

  7. Click "Continue".

  8. You will receive a SMS from Mobile Money(MM) Gateway.

  9. Miss call the given phone number in the SMS you receive.

  10. Upon this, the payment is done and you will receive a SMS receipt.

(VII) MEPS Cash

How do I make a payment with MEPS Cash?
  1. Login into www.manage4me.com with your malaysiakini username and password.

  2. Under Premium services, choose malaysiakini.com.

  3. Click on your preferred package and add to basket.

  4. Confirm the items in the basket and click on "Make Payment".

  5. At the bill detail page, select MEPS Cash from the drop down menu.

  6. Click "Continue"

  7. Please click on the link to allow the popup window to appear.

  8. Kindly insert your ATM card or Indentification Card (I/C) with MEPS cash enabled to the smart reader (Smart card reader can be purchased from Malaysiakini)

Login Issues
  1. Help! I'm having trouble logging in.
    Make sure the spelling for username and password is correct and the same used during the registration. Make sure the "caps lock" is turned off.


  2. What if I forget my username or password?
    Login details are sent to the email provided by you during registration. Click here go to a page where you can enter your email which you used during your registration. The username and password will be sent to your email address. Otherwise, you can contact Malaysiakini to request retrieve your login details.


  3. How do I login into manage4me or malaysiakini?
    You can login into malaysiakini or manage4me using same username and password. This username and password is provided when you register.


  4. When I login, it says my password and username does not match. What do I do?
    Make sure the spelling for username and password is correct and the same used during the registration. Make sure the "caps lock" is turned off.


  5. How do I edit my password or edit my profile?
    You can make changes to your password and profile through Manage4me. Login into www.manage4me.com using your username and password. Click on "My Profile", "Update Profile" to make changes on your profile or "Modify Password" to change your password.

Renewal
  1. What is subscription expiry date?
    Subscription expiry date is the date on which your subscription expires, meaning your access to the Malaysiakini's content is restricted.


  2. If I renew my subscription before the expiry date, will it affect my subscription? When will my new expiry date be?
    Your new subscription starts at the end of your current subscription. So, it is always good to renew early, to make sure you don't lose access to Malaysiakini. Click here to renew.


  3. How to renew my subscription?
    Click on the Renew at www.malaysiakini.com and key in your login details. Alternatively you can login into www.manage4me.com to renew your subscription.


  4. Nothing happens when I click on the link to renew? What do I do?

SMS News Alert
  1. What is SMS news alert?
    News alert is a collection of Malaysiakini headlines sent to your mobile. You will receive 3 to 5 smses daily. This is only available for Digi and Maxis users. Click here for more information.


  2. How do I sign up for the SMS news alert?
    For Digi to sign up, type ON MKINI and send to 2000.
    For Maxis to sign up, type BUY MKINI and send to 26000.


  3. How much will I be charged for the SMS news alert?
    SMS news alerts are charged at RM5 per month. It is included in your monthly phone bill or deducted from your prepaid account. Malaysiakini will send 3-5 SMS daily (zero charge for the SMS).


  4. How do I stop the SMS news alerts?
    For Digi to unsubscribe the SMS service, type STOP MKINI and send to 2000.
    For Maxis to unsubscribe the SMS service, type STOP MKINI and send to 26000.
